Who will lead the team to the top of the US-West list?
On Thursday night, the fifteenth week of the regular season, the Lightning played against the Chiefs at home. The Chiefs currently top the U.S. west with a record of 9 wins and 4 losses, followed by the Lightning, ranking second in the U.S. with 8 wins and 5 losses. The winner of this game will occupy the top spot in the American League West.
The chieftain's offensive state picked up
Chiefs quarterback Mahomes, as the NFL's facade player, has had a slight uptick in passing status this season, passing 27 touchdowns and giving opponents 12 interceptions. But in last week's game against the Raiders, he easily passed 258 yards and scored a quarterback rating of 139.2, leading the offensive group to a 35-0 run in the first half alone to help the team seal the victory. This game is against the 11th defensive group of the Lightning Defense, and presumably he will be ready to help the team stay at the top of the Ussi table.
Can Lightning kill the Chieftain twice?
The Lightning also have excellent quarterbacks. The team's second-year quarterback Herbert made a 3-touchdown in last week's win over the Giants, scoring a quarterback rating of 133.1 and becoming the first quarterback in NFL history to pass 30 touchdowns each in the first two seasons of his career. The Chiefs' defensive group, on the other hand, has also been in hot form lately, making 10 tackles against quarterbacks in their last three games and getting at least three ball transfers per game. The two sides had a meeting in the third week of the season, with Herbert passing four touchdowns to score a quarterback rating of 125, taking the game from the Arrowhead Court. I wonder if this week's showdown chiefs' defensive group can stop herbert's offensive group?
Pass? Running ball?
Mahomes has Kelsey and Hill, Herbert has Keenan Allen and Mike Williams, and both quarterbacks have trustworthy goals around them. Interestingly, the Chiefs and Lightning are not very good at running, ranking 27th and 28th in the league, respectively. Maybe the offensive coordinators on both sides will hit each other's defensive weaknesses to increase the number of runs?
