On December 15, the State Administration for Market Regulation solicited opinions from the public on the Detailed Rules for the Review of Liquor Production Licenses (Draft for Solicitation of Comments), and Red Star Capital Bureau noted several significant changes.
The Draft for Comments stipulates: "Enterprises shall not falsely label product implementation standards, and shall not pass off solid-liquid liquor or liquid liquor as solid liquor." "For liquid liquors and solid liquors that use edible alcohol, the ingredient list should be marked with edible alcohol."
In fact, the process flow and label labeling of solid liquor, solid liquor, liquid liquor have long been concerned by the market, and some liquor companies also love to play "edge ball" to confuse the public. Before the modification, the "liquid method" liquor that occupied the low-end market was almost equivalent to edible alcohol. Hot stir-fried "vintage wine" should also be regulated
Over the years, "vintage wine" has also been hyped in the market and has become a major "selling point" for many wine companies to attract consumers. Some consumers believe that "wine is the fragrance of aging", but so far there is no standard for domestic vintage wine to manage, resulting in chaos. Some of the so-called "vintage wine" products on the market often add only a few drops of old wine to become "x-year aging", which has also become the unspoken rule of the industry.
Red Star Capital Bureau searched from major e-commerce platforms and found that the so-called vintage wines that are often claimed to be 10, 20 or even 30 years are not in the minority. After the hot sauce wine, various sauce wines claiming to be old vintages have also sprung up, making consumers confused.
It is often called "old wine" for decades
Doubts about vintage wines have long existed in the market. The most famous event of this year's vintage wine is that the "old wine" of more than 120,000 tons of liquor industry has been questioned, which has been pointed out to be untrue and has also triggered a crisis of trust. This also made the liquor industry stand on the cusp of the storm, and had to issue a clarification announcement to elaborate on the real situation of the company's old wine reserves.
Cai Xuefei, an analyst in the liquor industry, said that the current concept of old wine and vintage wine is very hot, but it lacks corresponding industry standards, and the phenomenon of random marking is common. After the State Administration of Market Regulation has standardized, it is conducive to purifying the sales environment of the liquor industry and safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of consumers, but at the same time it may also have a certain impact on some liquor companies that focus on such products.
The draft for comments also proposes that enterprises should establish a food safety traceability system, clarify the traceability goals, measures and responsible personnel, clarify the source of raw and auxiliary materials of liquor, production links and connections, material flow, information collection and recording rules, etc., and record the quality and safety information of the whole process of production and processing in a true, accurate, scientific and systematic manner, including products, production, equipment, facilities and personnel, to ensure that there are records from raw material procurement to final products and sales, so as to achieve the quality and safety of liquor and traceable in a downward direction, traceable in reverse. Risks are manageable.
In addition, enterprises should also establish a product recall system to ensure that the factory products are found to not meet food safety standards or have evidence to immediately stop production and recall when they are found to be harmful to human health.
