The Diablo 2: Remastered 2.4 patch will modify classes

Blizzard announced today (December 16) that the upcoming Diablo 2: Remastered 2.4 patch will change the class balance. Blizzard said: "This [update] is very special because the last class balance change patch for Diablo 2 was 1.13c released on March 23, 2010. This update will expand the diversity of character Build and retain the fantasy and features of the class!

This update will change all occupations to varying degrees:

Amazon is now relatively balanced, but there are still some "underutilized melee skills" that have been strengthened.

Assassins' martial arts and trap skills are being "re-evaluated," and some of the barbarians' combat skills and interaction requirements with them are being treated equally.

The Druid's summoning, bear transformation, and elemental skills (mainly fire) are enhanced.

Blizzard was happy with the necromancer's overall condition, but some of his specific summons were also adjusted.

Paladins' skills will be altered to make them more effective, and the aura of range damage will also be changed to make them stronger in melee situations.

Blizzard is "very happy" with the witch class, but hopes to tweak some skills to make her different types of Build stronger.

The Diablo 2: Remastered 2.4 patch is expected to be released on beta suit PTR in early 2022.
