First of all, it is certain that the Soviet Union was stronger than Japan, and the two countries had little to no match during World War II, only in 1939 when the Battle of Nomonkan broke out, which ended in Soviet victory. Japan is not brainless, the Soviet Union did not choke Japan's oil lifeline, and Japan did not have to hold the mentality of breaking the net and the Soviet Union. This is also why when we saw that when Germany attacked the Soviet Union, Japan did not help Germany to attack the Soviet Union from East Asia.
As for the Soviet Union's million-strong division easily allowing the Kwantung Army to surrender, everyone also overlooked an important reason, when the United States had already used atomic bombs on the Japanese mainland. At this stage of the war, Japan was already at the end of the crossbow. If Japan wants resources without resources and does not have troop strength, no matter how you look at it, Japan has no chance of winning. The Soviet Union chose to declare war on Japan at this time to pick up a big bargain. If the United States were allowed to attack the Kwantung Army, the same effect could be achieved.
