Later facts proved that Xun Yu fully deserved this good name, he formulated a blueprint and military route for Cao Cao to unify the north, and repeatedly revised Cao Cao's strategic policy, Xun Yu was also a reliable person, Cao Cao's most critical time should belong to him to lead the army to attack Xuzhou Taoqian, but was attacked by Lü Bu and the crowd, a large number of Cao Cao officials rebelled, Cao Cao's forces were only left in the three cities of Yanzhou, fortunately the loyal Xun Yu used tactics to defend, which did not let Cao Cao lose all his base. How did Xun Yu die? This also deeply offended Cao Cao, although he did not mention this matter again considering Xun Yu's influence, but gradually became estranged from Xun Yu. Why did Xun Yu commit suicide when he saw it? We can analyze Cao Cao's motives, in ancient times, the term "food Lu" for the minister to work for Tianzi was called "Food Lu", and it is said that after Xun Yu learned that Cao Cao was going to seal jiuxi, he often said to the people around him: "Xun Yu has no Han Lu to eat today."
