Shuidonggou is the earliest excavated Paleolithic cultural site in China, recording the historical testimony of ancient human beings breeding and surviving and fighting with nature. In the scenic area, there are no. 1 pits and no. 2 pits where archaeologists have found human cultural sites.
Shuidonggou attracted me not only to human cultural sites, but also to military powerhouses and natural scenery. After watching the excavation site of the human site, we came to the Ming Dynasty's Tu Great Wall, where there is a relatively well-preserved Ming Dynasty Tu Great Wall, which is very imposing and reflects the defensive characteristics of the Ming Dynasty border pass.
After descending the Ming Great Wall, walk in the reed flower valley, experience the beauty of nature, on both sides is the loess high slope, the slope of the deep valley, growing dense reeds, in the late autumn season, full of reed flowers, beautiful nature. There is also the sound of running water from the stream under the valley, walking in such a reed flower valley, refreshing, there is an urge to lead the song and sing.
The surprise of the water cave ditch is far more than this, walking through the reed flower valley, in front of you is a large lake, taking a boat in the lake water of the valley, leisurely driving on the lake, the loess slopes on both sides of the river, it seems to constantly remind you, what a wonderful natural scenery!
After taking the boat, I chose to take a carriage ashore, between the deep canyons, accompanied by a piece of reeds and lake water, sitting on the carriage, listening to the folk songs of the northwest leisurely, looking at the high slopes of the loess, and my thoughts had long since flown to nowhere.
Halfway through, at the scenic station, I changed from a carriage to a camel car, which is interesting! The group sat leisurely on the camel cart and continued to walk through the canyon to experience the long trajectory of human traffic life.
There are also surprises in the back, after riding the camel car, come to the Ming Dynasty's border pass heavy army land, deep ditch canyon, one by one cave kilns, arranged on both sides of the canyon, the caves in the loess high slope, forming a solitary characteristic of the border pass military department gathering place.
Then, when I came to the Tibetan Soldier Cave, I was completely shocked, the complexity of the Tibetan Soldier Cave was far beyond imagination, one passage after another, interlaced together, like a complex network, there was a connection, there was a division of labor, it was a complete military system in a hole.
A fully functional cave world, with one space setting after another, will amaze you. There are also various safety functions in the tunnel, trap settings, etc.
Out of the Tibetan Soldier Cave, is the ancient city of Hongshan Fort, according to historical records, in ancient times, under the illumination of the sunset, the mountains here were bright red.
This is an ancient city with a well-preserved ancient style, sitting under the ancient city wall, looking at the ancient city in front of you, and the loess slopes that cannot be seen at a glance, as if you have been transported to another time and space world.
