1. In addition to being a home event, why is the Geneva International Equestrian Festival so special to you?

Swiss Star Equestrian Rider Martin Foss: The Geneva International Equestrian Festival race is not only special for me, it feels special to all riders who come here. Of course, as a swiss homegrown rider, this feeling will undoubtedly be stronger, because the audience and fans at home will give you the most support.

2) For you, what elements make up a great team?

Swiss star equestrian rider Martin Foss: Usually, for obstacle courses and horseback riding, you do need a strong team as a safeguard that can help you handle and solve anything. Caring for a horse is a very tedious job that requires a lot of time and passion. I was very lucky with my family who were always able to face everything positively. I have a lot of great people around me and a great team who take great care of the horses and make sure they're always in the best condition. It also allowed me to focus on the sport, and at the same time, it meant that I didn't have to worry about anything at home on the field.

3. What are your plans for this winter?

Swiss Star Equestrian Rider Martin Foss: I'm planning to compete in a couple of FIMA Steeplechase World Cups, and there will be a couple of good World Cup races in the future, and they're all exciting and have a long history, so I'd love to be able to compete. My goal is to give some young horses a chance to exercise and at the same time prepare them for high-level racing so that I can get some new horses to the Grand Prix level gradually.

5. Just like tennis and golf, the obstacle course also has its own Grand Slam event. Aside from equestrian, what is your favorite event to watch?

Swiss star equestrian rider Martin Foss: I love watching tennis matches. As a Swissman, Rolex's spokesperson Roger Federer is undoubtedly a legendary athlete in the sport of tennis, so I'll focus more on tennis. Tennis's four Grand Slam tournaments are always gratifying, and among them, my favorite is the Wimbledon Open.

6. What does a Rolex Grand Slam mean to you?

Swiss Star Equestrian Rider Martin Foss: For riders, the Rolex Grand Slam is the most special and unique event. Because it puts together a series of 4 of the world's top 4 events, everyone wants to be able to win in them. All riders are constantly working hard and working to be able to win these races.
