This move shows that this MPV using BYD DM-i technology is one step closer to being officially launched. Previously, it was reported that the model would be officially listed and put on sale in the first quarter of next year.

The car has been unveiled at the previous Guangzhou Auto Show, the overall shape and the fuel version of the Song MAX is not much different, the front face is still BYD's iconic "Dragon Face" design style, but considering that the performance of the car is stronger than the fuel version of the model, SO BYD also added some sports elements to it. From the side, the shape of the car is more three-dimensional, a raised waist line makes the car's sense of movement a lot higher, and the line at the door panel below also makes the car's side look more plump. Judging from the pictures released, the new car is also equipped with a roof box, which BYD officially calls an "upgraded roof" model. It is reported that the 2022 Song MAX DM-i will launch two versions of the 6-seater and 7-seat versions, while the "upgraded roof" model is a 6-seat version, coupled with the roof box, it can further enhance the loading capacity of the car, and the height of the car will also reach 1880mm.

In terms of power, according to the previous data filed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the car, it will be equipped with a DM-i plug-in hybrid system composed of a 1.5L engine + electric motor, which is also consistent with the previous Song PLUS and Song Pro DM-i models. The maximum power of the 1.5L engine equipped with the car is 81kW, the maximum power of the permanent magnet synchronous motor is 145kW, and in terms of batteries, the car will also use BYD's own lithium iron phosphate blade battery, which will most likely provide two different versions of pure electric endurance of 51km and 110km.
