Resident Evil 2, Lee Ang came to Raccoon City on September 29, 1998 as a trainee police officer, out of lateness Leon missed the inauguration ceremony, while driving to Raccoon City, Ang found that a large number of citizens in the town had died and turned into zombies. In Resident Evil 4, Leon receives a secret mission to a place called the village of Aibor on a suburb in southern Spain to rescue Ashley, the daughter of the president who has been kidnapped by a mysterious organization, and reappears as Leon goes deep into the village and collects Clues for Ashley and approaches the main city of the village castle, at which time Leon already knows that she is Wesker's subordinate. He then meets his friend Jack Klauser, who is supposed to be dying, with a parasite in his body (Klauzer reportedly died in a helicopter crash). But his former friends have become a double agent between Osmoud Sadler (the leader of the group that kidnapped Ashley) and Wesker. Leon fights him to the death and defeats Klauser before fighting Sadler, at the end Ida also throws Leon a love rocket and kills Sadler.
