According to reports, the feature will be available on Android, iOS and web pages. On Android and iOS platforms, subtitles are turned on muted videos by default. At the same time, in the web page, the user will see a new "CC" button in the video player to quickly turn subtitles on/off.

IT House understands that automatic subtitles will be available in more than 30 languages, including English, Chinese, Hindi, Spanish, Japanese and more. Subtitles will be displayed in the original language in which the video was uploaded, and there is currently no option to translate subtitles.

Also, automatic subtitles are only available for newly uploaded videos, which means that old videos don't get automatic subtitles.

Twitter recently tested a number of new features on its platform, including voting buttons for Tweets, a new "Explore" tab with a TikTok-style scrolling feed, the ability to upload longer videos, and more. The company is also testing a new ad format that places ads between Tweet replies.
