"Make sure customers get into pure electric vehicles."

You can still feel a pure Lamborghini.

Spend a lot of time and money on R&D powertrains,

Make sure that electric vehicles also have the driving pleasure of an internal combustion engine. ”

What is the reason for Lamborghini's sales in China to reach a new high?

Francesco Scardaoni: This has been achieved thanks to our accumulation over the years and to the timely response of Lamborghini at the beginning of the outbreak. Lamborghini responded quickly, using a digital strategy in all markets, even if customers could not go to the showroom to see the car as usual, they could still maintain close communication with Lamborghini to ensure that there was no obstacle to placing orders. Regarding chip shortages, we generally share Lamborghini's five-year production plan with suppliers in advance, so suppliers can prepare early, so the field chip shortage has no impact on Lamborghini at present.

Lamborghini has released a future strategy, how to ensure a pure sense of control for electric vehicles?

Francesco Scardaoni: Not long ago, Lamborghini unveiled its electrification plan "Towards the Heart of Taurus", which consists of three phases: the first step, paying tribute to the internal combustion engine model, and the second step, the gradual hybridization of the current product line (by the end of 2024). The third step is to launch the first pure electric model (2025-2030).

For Lamborghini, the biggest challenge facing the R&D team is how to ensure that customers can immediately feel that this is a pure Lamborghini as soon as they sit in even a pure electric model. Therefore, in the development of the powertrain, we have spent a lot of time and money to ensure that electric vehicles also have the driving pleasure of internal combustion engines.

Does Lamborghini have any plans for small displacement models?

Francesco Scardaoni: Lamborghini has no intention of introducing a similar small-displacement model. Lamborghini is most proud of the V12 naturally aspirated engine. Our first hybrid supercar will be the next-generation Aventador, featuring a V12 naturally aspirated engine and hybrid solution. In the future, our full range of models, including the Urus and Huracán, will be hybridized. But even with a full-line hybrid program, we still don't think about smaller displacement engines. The first pure electric model will come from lamborghini's fourth product line, which will be a four-seater model, and we can also expect that Lamborghini's sales will reach a new level.
