Many of the world's leading music streaming service providers are launching massive lossless music libraries, and consumer demand for lossless audio is increasing, so Qualcomm has launched a new aptX Lossless lossless audio technology, providing a new level of CD-quality lossless audio streaming support for Bluetooth earbuds and headphones.

Qualcomm's aptX Lossless Audio Technology is a new feature of aptX Adaptive technology, as well as a new feature of Snapdragon Sound Snapdragon Listening Technology, which is designed to provide CD-quality 16-bit 44.1kHz lossless audio streaming support for true wireless earbuds and headphones through Bluetooth wireless connectivity technology.
aptX Adaptive, combined with Qualcomm Bluetooth High Speed Link, delivers the required sustainable data throughput, enabling reliable CD-quality lossless audio transmission via Bluetooth wireless connectivity. These technologies work together seamlessly, supporting bit rates up to over 1Mbps, or smoothly reducing the bitrate to 140kbits/s in crowded RF environments, which minimizes audio interruptions or distractions for a consistently stable listening experience.
Why you need lossless audio
Qualcomm's "Audio Product Usage Survey Report 2021" shows that sound quality ranks among the most important purchase drivers among all audio devices, and the report also shows that people's demand for higher quality audio streaming is also increasing. More than half of respondents want a lossless or HD audio experience, and up to 64 percent said lossless audio quality could influence their wireless earbud purchase decisions. Currently, only end devices such as smartphones, PCs, and tablets can support lossless audio.
