On the issue of scoring for the additional driving internship period
I believe that many drivers have the same confusion
Today I will take you to answer your questions
Let's take a look
Regulations on the Application and Use of Motor Vehicle Driver's Licenses
(Decree No. 139 of the Ministry of Public Security) Article 74
The internship period is 12 months after the motor vehicle driver first applies for a motor vehicle driver's license and adds a quasi-driving type.
Newly obtained driving licenses for large buses, tractors, city buses, medium-sized buses, and large trucks shall participate in knowledge examinations on road traffic safety laws and regulations, traffic safety and civilized driving, emergency handling, etc., within 30 days after the end of the internship period, and receive a warning education on traffic accident cases for not less than half an hour.
1
What is an internship period?
The 12 months after a motor vehicle driver first applies for a motor vehicle driver's license (also known as a "novice") and after adding a quasi-driving type (also known as "additional driving"), is called an internship period.
2
How is the internship scoring date calculated?
Both the first license and the additional driving permit are 12 months after the new license is issued by the vehicle management department. The driver's license scoring cycle is calculated according to the date of first issuance, and will not change due to the addition of a new driver's license for the quasi-driving type. There can be no record of full marks either during the internship period or during this scoring cycle.
The internship period is not calculated according to the calendar year, and the internship period of the additional driving license is one year from the day you obtain the new quasi-driving qualification. In addition, the scoring period always starts on the date of the first issuance of the original driver's license.
It should be noted that if 12 points are not reached in the scoring cycle, and the fine has been paid, the demerit points will be eliminated, and if there is still a fine that has not been paid, the demerit points will be transferred to the next scoring cycle.
3
After driving, will the validity period and scoring period of the driver's license change?
It won't change.
After the addition of the quasi-driving type and the acquisition of a new driver's license, the validity period of the driver's license will not be recalculated. The scoring period also always begins on the date of the original driver's license. (For example, if a car owner holding an E certificate has increased the C1 quasi-driving type, the scoring cycle is unchanged!) It is still calculated every 12 months after the date of initial issuance. The C1 quasi-driving internship period refers only to 12 months after the additional driving. )
Friendly reminder: The scoring cycle and the driving internship period are not the same, and there will be some overlap! Please pay attention to the illegal deduction of points when handling the driver! Because during the internship period after the additional driving, if the driver's license has a record of 12 points, the driving qualification of the probationary quasi-driving type will be cancelled!
Take a "chestnut"
Xiao Chen on October 1, 2019
Obtained a two-wheeled motorcycle driver's license (E)
Again on May 1, 2021
Obtained a small car driver's license (C1)
His scoring cycle is
From October 1 to October 1 of each year
If the period is fully scored
You will take the full score study exam
His internship period is
1 May 2021 to 1 May 2022
The internship quasi-driving type of additional driving will be cancelled
Again,
Regarding additional driving, it is not the addition of a driver's license. It's still that driver's license, it's still the 12 points, it's just one more way to allow driving other models.
The scoring period after the increase in driving is still calculated according to the date of the first license. The probationary period and scoring period after the additional driving are calculated separately.
Note: There is no internship period for military police and foreign driver's license replacement.
