Chongzhen ascended the coal mountain with the support of the eunuch Wang Cheng'en, martyred himself, and before his death, he wrote a blood letter to Li Zicheng: "Since he ascended the throne for seventeen years, the rebels have directly approached the Beijing Division. Although the poor virtue was a bandit, the heavens were angry, causing the rebellious thieves to directly attack the Capital Division, but all the ministers mistakenly fell into it. Death, faceless ancestors in the ground, to remove the crown, to cover the face. Let the thief split the corpse, and do not hurt the people. ”
The Chongzhen Emperor was miserable, and thus became the king of the subjugated country.
