According to previous reports, a number of people familiar with the matter said that Xiaomi Holdings' ecological chain company Zhimi Technology has joined the car-making army, which was previously an important enterprise in the Xiaomi ecological chain, mainly engaged in air conditioners, air purifiers and other products, but it is directly controlled by Xiaomi, which can be regarded as a subsidiary.
Zhimi's direct entry into the car-making market means that Xiaomi can have more chips on the car-making track.
According to reports, Ma Yongdong, the former head of GM's pan-Asian electric vehicle project, has joined Zhimi to take charge of the vehicle business, and many of BAIC's electronic and electrical architecture personnel have also recently joined Zhimi.
It should be noted that the car-making business of Zhimi Technology is currently independent of Xiaomi Automobile, and there is no obvious support from Xiaomi's administrative system.
