After a 3-hour flight and more than 8 hours of driving, Xinhua news agency reported that the detachment arrived in Managua, the capital of Nicaragua, on the 11th local time.

Warm welcome

Along the way, Xinhua News Agency reported that the detachment received strong cooperation and support from the Nepalese side. Staff at the Nicaraguan Embassy in Costa Rica work overtime to obtain visas for journalists. As a result, Xinhua News Agency reporters became the first batch of Chinese journalists to enter Nicaragua with visas after the resumption of diplomatic relations between China and Nepal.

When the squad reached Costa Rica's border with Nicaragua, the Nicaraguan National Guard was already waiting there and escorting the squad all the way to Managua. National Guard official Manzanares welcomed the arrival of the squad and hoped that the Chinese reporters would feel like they were at home and would come often in the future.
