Last weekend, at the southernmost tip of the motherland, the 2021 Cross-Mountain to Sea People Car Relay Hainan Year-end Peak Race was successfully concluded. Since 2019, the event has been successfully held in Hainan for three consecutive years.
This year's Hainan year-end peak race track has a total length of 156.4 kilometers, five people and one car, starting from the Tongguling Scenic Area in Wenchang City, passing through Qionghai City on the way, and finally arriving at Jiuli Cultural Bay in Shimei Bay, Wanning City. Runners can enjoy hainan's unique tropical rainforest scenery and the beauty of the blue coast.
At 00:00 on the 11th, more than a thousand contestants set off from the starting point in batches with the sky full of stars on their heads, running along the long coastline of Qionghai, and finally arrived at the Jiuli Cultural Bay of Shimei Bay, China Resources, Wanning City. After more than ten hours of fierce competition, Lujiazui Niubang -Soconi, Ben Dianfeng and Saucony won the top three places in this competition with 8 hours 16 minutes and 36 seconds, 8 hours 19 minutes 12 seconds, and 8 hours 32 minutes 26 seconds respectively.
It is worth mentioning that this event is also a gathering of famous players, the Lujiazui Cattle Gang is composed of Yang Dinghong, He Jie, Jia Errenjia, Li Chunhui, Zong Qinghua, and the team members who run to Dianfeng one by one are Yang Chunlong, Gao Peng, Jiang Fakun, Luo Tianfan, and Wang Tao. In the competition in the last stage, the competition between veteran Yang Dinghong and young player Wang Tao added more drama to this competition, and the two have been walking together until finally Yang Dinghong threw off Wang Tao at a variable speed and took the lead in hitting the line. It's amazing that this team-based event staged such a fierce PK at the last minute.
Since its holding in 2017, the Yueshan XianghaiRen Car Relay China Race has become an all-terrain, all-experience long-distance team running relay event loved by runners around the world. It brings together a group of athletes who create beautiful, love fresh and warm experiences, and enjoy the success of the team more than individual achievements.
The success of this year's Hainan Station is also the result of the continuous efforts of the event side, organizers and players. In order to ensure the smooth holding of the Hainan Year-end Peak Race, under the background of normalized epidemic prevention and control, the organizing committee of the event put the epidemic prevention and control work in the first place in the preparatory work, and formulated a detailed epidemic prevention management plan with the functional departments of governments at all levels in the place where the event passed in the early stage of preparation. In order to ensure the safety of the participants, volunteers and relevant event organizers, the race retains the tradition of starting in batches and simplifies the supporting activities of the start and finish events, so as to ensure that there is no crowd gathering during the race and to ensure that all participants complete the race safely and smoothly.
In terms of runner safety, the government departments of Wenchang, Qionghai and Wanning through the race mobilized medical ambulances, AEDs, and equipped with doctors to provide medical protection for the runners. In terms of public security traffic, the public security traffic police of the three places provide full-line security for the event throughout the day. In addition, the first reaction of the race's long-term strategic partners dispatched nearly 80 experienced first aid volunteers to move forward on the track to protect the unexpected situations that may occur at any time on the track.
On the track of this year's Hainan Year-end Summit, volunteer service work was undertaken by nearly 300 Hainan local running groups and university student volunteers. This is also the first time since the event landed in Hainan that all local running group volunteers have been used to provide comprehensive protection for the event.
