As of 15:00 on December 12, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, has reported a total of 44 locally confirmed cases, and the asymptomatic infected people previously reported have turned into confirmed cases. The minimum age of the admitted patients is 2 years and the maximum age is 70 years.
The 44 confirmed cases reported by Ningbo City are all concentrated in the Jiaochuan Street Control Zone of Zhenhai District of the city. Among them, there were 15 cases in Linjiang Community, 11 cases in Wulipai Village, 7 cases in Scenic Nine Gardens, 6 cases in Concentrated Settlements of Hongqiao Sifang Construction Site, 3 cases in Hongqiao Community, and 1 case each in Yanjiang Village and Yipinjun Garden. So far, no positive infected persons have been found outside the Jiaochuan Street Control Area in Zhenhai District.
From the press conference on the prevention and control of the new crown pneumonia epidemic in Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, it was learned that the transmission chain of this round of epidemic in Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, was relatively clear, and the first case was first transmitted in the family, passed on by family members to colleagues, and then caused many infections by their colleagues through the "Sunshine of Life" Moxibustion Care Center in Zhenhai District, Ningbo City, and there are currently 13 cases of direct exposure to infection through this center. The infected person at the centre then causes a recurrence of infection within the family and the community. The local transmission path of the epidemic in Zhenhai is clear, and it all belongs to the same transmission chain.
On December 11, the joint prevention and control mechanism of the State Council reported at a press conference that after the virological research results of the National Health Commission, the viral genome sequence of the recent local cases in Zhejiang (including Ningbo) and the epidemic cases in Shanghai and Jiangsu was highly homologous, and they were related to the epidemic situation. After three generations of sequencing of case specimens from the Ningbo Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the results were the Warsaw strain of the Delta variant (AY.4 evolutionary branch).
