Li Xiuying
Witnesses to the massacre of the Japanese army invading China
In December 1937, the Invading Japanese Army attacked Nanjing. Unable to escape to a foreign country because she was 7 months pregnant, Li Xiuying hid with her father in the basement of the American Church School (now Wutaishan Elementary School) in the Nanjing International Safety Zone.
On December 19, 1937, three Japanese soldiers broke into the basement of the school and attempted to rape Li Xiuying. After the Japanese soldiers left, her father managed to take her to the American Church Hospital (now Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital), where she was saved by the American doctor, Mr. Robert Wilson, but the child in her belly was miscarried.
The diaries and letters of The Westerners who remained in Nanjing at that time, such as Rabe, McAllen, and Magee, recorded this incident in detail.
In particular, the film shot by the American pastor John Maggie at the scene of the treatment has become ironclad evidence of the Nanjing Massacre of the Japanese army invading China.
Cai Lihua was also one of the victims
According to Cai Lihua's own testimony: "In the winter of 1937, when Japanese soldiers suddenly broke into my house, I watched with my own eyes as the Japanese tied my father's hands and hung him on a wooden ladder, brutally blinded his eyes with a bayonet, making egg-sized holes in his eyes, and then killed him with several shots in a row. The mother was also stabbed in the back with a bayonet by a Japanese soldier and fired a shot, but fortunately the bullet passed through the scalp. I was on the scene, hiding under a table and escaping the disaster. ”
The people who are hurt are far more than them
There was also the Japanese army in Nanjing who buried our compatriots alive
The Japanese army also tied up a large number of young and middle-aged people in Nanjing and sent them to the suburbs for collective slaughter
