It travels through the deep ravines and remote mountainous areas of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau every day, and soon became an important means of transportation for the people along the route.

There are 2636 villagers in the village, and nearly 90% of them grow apples. The 12,000 mu orchard, with an annual output of 36 million catties of apples, has become the main economic pillar of the local area.

Every autumn and winter, the 5647 train will welcome a large number of Zhaotong fruit farmers, who will bring boxes of apples to Liupanshui, Anshun, Guiyang and other places to sell, this train is also affectionately known as the "apple train".

At 10:21, the 5647 train arrived at Zhaotong South Station. The station and bus staff rushed to help the growers carry the apples to the car to ensure the safety of the ride.

The fresh apples are full of fruity aromas and soon attract many tourists to buy. On the train, the scene of a bumper harvest of purchases and sales slowly unfolded.

Ma Xiaoyu, 30, grew up growing apples with her parents. "The household with the most apples growing in our village has an annual income of 178,000 yuan, and the smallest one has 40,000 or 50,000 yuan." Ma Xiaoyu introduced that the fruit farmers are self-produced and sold, relying on the "slow train" to transport out for sale. Without the railway, without the "slow train", apples would not be lucky enough to go out and sell for a good price.

Xiang Xiaobo, the conductor of the Guiyang passenger section, is a "celebrity" on the 5647 train and an old friend of the fruit farmers along the line, and there are more than 10 fruit farmers who often deal with him. How many acres of orchards does it have? What new varieties have been planted? How is Apple growing? How many people are in the family? ...... He's all counted.

"Every year, when it's apple season, the train will give them some help in any way they can. For example, the information of large fruit growers is registered one by one and provided to buyers who need it along the way. Last year, there were more than 10 Apple buyers who brokered through me, with sales of more than 400,000 catties. "To Xiaobo, there is also a radio column on the car to introduce Zhaotong apples, to help the growers sell more in the carriage, and the burden can be lightened when getting off.

In order to help the fruit farmers transport, the railway department also added a luggage car at the end of the 5647 train, and a special placement area was set up for the fruit farmers in the carriage. The station also adjusted the stop position of the train on the platform to provide maximum convenience for growers to carry apples and get on and off the train.

Ma Yongzhi, the village chief, is 54 years old and started growing apples 32 years ago. He has personally experienced the anxiety of waiting for foreign merchants to come to buy, and has felt the bitter helplessness of being bargained and priced; he has witnessed a series of changes such as the Inner Six Railway from scratch, the "slow train" from near to far, the road conditions in the village getting better, and the new cars becoming more numerous.

Ma Yongzhi introduced that in recent years, every season there will be local agricultural science and technology personnel to the countryside to carry out training and guidance, newly planted apple trees, new varieties reached 3,000 acres, apple production increased year after year, an average of 60,000 to 80,000 kilograms of apples per day through the "slow train" transport, the village's apple income is close to 40 million yuan. The 5647 "slow trains" are even more "rich cars", "revitalization cars" and "happiness cars".

Being able to contribute to the prosperity of the people is the most gratifying thing for us railway people. Xiang Xiaobo said.
