The major revolutionary historical theme film "Jedi Rebirth" was launched in Kunming

Kunming Information Harbor News (Kunming Daily reporter Sun Xiao) On December 12, the major revolutionary historical theme film "Jedi Rebirth" held a launching ceremony in Kunming. Zeng Yan, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and director of the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee, attended the launching ceremony and unveiled the start-up.

The film "Jedi Rebirth" is a major film and television project planned, organized and implemented by the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee, jointly produced by Yunnan Nanzhao Longshi Cultural Development Co., Ltd., Beijing Dongya Longshi Cultural Media Co., Ltd., Yunnan National Film Studio and distributed by Huaxia Film Distribution Co., Ltd. Directed by director Nie Jun, and starring actors Wang Ban, Hou Xiangling, Tao Xianfeng, Pu Shasha, Yuan Weijie, Tao Xianfeng, Chen Wanglin, etc. Set against the backdrop of major historical events in the long march of the Central Red Army from October 1934 to May 1935, the film shows the world that the Red Army resolutely chose the Long March when faced with a choice of life and death, and held the key Tashi Conference in Tashi, Yunnan Province, to achieve a major turning point in the Chinese revolution, from which the Chinese revolution entered a new stage and completed the story of the rebirth of the Jedi.

In order to create this major revolutionary historical theme work, the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee and the producer began to collect and prepare for the work in the early stage from May last year, forming a story script with major historical events such as the Tashi Conference and the Red Army's clever crossing of the Jinsha River as clues, telling the story script of the Chinese revolution achieving a major turning point in the process of the Long March and moving towards a new stage of victory. On May 17 this year, the China Propaganda Film Script Creation Center organized a special meeting on script creation and demonstration by domestic party history experts and film and television experts in Beijing. The meeting fully affirmed the achievements of the previous script creation and put forward valuable opinions and suggestions. According to the opinions of the meeting, the creative group has revised and improved the script three times, and once again submitted it to the National Film Administration and the National Major Theme Office for approval and finalization, which was unanimously praised.

After the launching ceremony, the crew will go to Tashi, Weixin County, Zhaotong City, and Luxun County, Kunming City, to shoot and shoot. The film is scheduled to be released in theaters nationwide starting in June 2022.
