The famous director Li Yang recognized the audience with the "blind series" films composed of "Blind Well", "Blind Mountain" and "Blind Road". On the afternoon of December 11, on the eve of the National Day of Commemoration for the Victims of the Nanjing Massacre, he came to the Nanjing Folk Anti-Japanese War Museum and for the first time screened and donated his graduation work 27 years ago, the documentary "Traces" with the theme of the Nanjing Massacre of the Japanese Invasion of China.

A native of Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, Li Yang went to Germany in 1992 to study film and television directing at the Cologne Academy of Film and Television Media Arts. The documentary "Traces" is his graduation work. By ripping the tapes of that year, adding Chinese subtitles and other restoration work, the film lasted about an hour to meet with domestic audiences. In the film, there are not only oral accounts of the survivors of the Nanjing Massacre of the Japanese army invading China, but also the memories of Japanese military reporters and Japanese troops who invaded China, and the Second Historical Archive of China has also provided him with some film clips.

"When I was studying in Germany, in 1995, when I was commemorating the 50th anniversary of the victory in 'World War II', I reflected on the war, and I found that there were very few books and films about the Nanjing Massacre, and even a few books were found in the German National Library, and they were all in English, which inspired me to make such a film and let more people know about this history." Li Yang said that if there is no complaint, it will be forgotten. Under the circumstances at that time, we did not do enough in this regard, and we wanted to remind everyone of this crime against humanity through this film, and to shout more internationally.

Li Yang told reporters that the information about the Nanjing Massacre of the Japanese army invading China was very vast, and at that time, through the classmates, they found relevant authoritative experts, introduced creative ideas, stood on the shoulders of giants, and took fewer detours. In the film, under the combing of experts such as Sun Zhaowei, a researcher at the Institute of History of the Jiangsu Academy of Social Sciences, the historical truth is revealed step by step, and the tragedy of the war is deeply analyzed. In the film, Xia Shuqin, Li Xiuying, Chen Degui, Liu Yongxing, Xu Ziqiang and other survivors of the Nanjing Massacre of the Japanese army invading China tell the truth of history to the camera, and now some of them have died, and some people have added many traces of time to their faces.

27 years later, Sun Zhaowei said, "traces" is also a kind of memory. Now the Nanjing Massacre of the Japanese army invading China has become the memory of all mankind and has resonated with people all over the world. "This film is educational at any time and in any country."

It is reported that after improvement, the Nanjing Folk Anti-Japanese War Museum will permanently collect the film and the creation manuscript. (Zhang Nan)
