But if you look at the Southern Dynasty in more detail, you will find that the four dynasties of Song, Qi, Liang, and Chen, each dynasty has a strange thing. For example, Xiao Zhaoye of Southern Qi, when he learned that his grandfather Emperor Qiwu was ill, he actually sent a happy note to his wife, and also sent the witch Yang Clan to curse his grandfather for his early death. Of course, compared with Liu Ziye, the former deposed emperor of the Southern Dynasty Liu Song, these are all small witches. According to historical records, in 453 AD, Liu Shao rebelled and imprisoned Liu Ziye, who was still the crown prince at the time, in Menxia Province. There, he was often asked to learn to bark pigs and not to feed them.
More importantly, liu Shao seems to have psychological problems. According to historical records, he once dug a pit in the ground, then filled it with all kinds of sewage, and then forced Liu Ziye to roll in the muddy water and learn to bark pigs. In addition, he also used a wooden trough to hold pig food, and then let Liu Ziye lie in front of the wooden trough and ordered him to use his mouth to arch food in the trough like a pig. This is actually a personal insult. But Liu Ziye put up with it. He behaved very well-behaved and obeyed Liu Shao's requests.
Therefore, Liu Shao has always raised him as a pig, and several times he wanted to kill him, but he couldn't do it. Fortunately, Emperor Xiaowu of Song quickly quelled the rebellion. In 458, Liu Ziye was made crown prince. But it is estimated that AiZi was very heartfelt, and this Xiaowu Emperor often reprimanded him, causing the latter to blame himself and almost commit suicide. Of course, in the end, he did not want to die, but became more and more extreme and violent.
In 464, Emperor Xiaowu of Song died and crown prince Liu Ziye took the throne. According to historical records, after he became emperor, he developed a special hobby. What? It's raising pigs. Of course, this pig is actually a human. According to the "Nanshi Vol. II, Song Benji No. 2", Liu Ziye put his uncle, Liu Yu, the king of Xiangdong, in a cage and raised him as a pig, and because the family was obese, he called the people the king of pigs.
Once, because a concubine of a subordinate (Liu Meng, a court lieutenant) was pregnant, Liu Ziye actually ordered someone to tie Liu Yu's hands and feet, and then use a stick to pass through the hands and feet. Then he was carried outside the palace and said that he was going to kill the pig to celebrate. According to historical records, his other two uncles, Liu Xiuren the King of Jian'an and Liu Xiuyou the King of Shanyang, were also raised as pigs by him for a long time. Liu Ziye's tyranny has caused dissatisfaction among many people. In 466 AD, this person was finally killed by Liu Yu, the king of Xiangdong, and others, and the people of the world clapped their hands and applauded.
