Liao Wenyi

Liao Wenyi (1910-1986) was one of the earliest advocates of "Taiwan independence." In 1947, he presided over the establishment of the "Autonomy Law Research Society" and began to advocate "Taiwan independence". At this time, Liao Wenyi was noticed by the Kuomintang authorities. After the "28" incident, he was wanted and fled in a hurry.

After Liao Wenyi left Taiwan, he established the "Taiwan Re-Liberation Alliance" in Hong Kong and submitted a "petition" to the United Nations, asking for "trusteeship" of Taiwan. His activities have received attention and support from the United States. In 1950, the "Taiwan Democratic Independence Party" was formed in Japan, and he served as its chairman. In 1955, the "Provisional Government of the Republic of Taiwan" was established in Tokyo, and the self-proclaimed "Grand Commander". Liao Wenyi considered himself qualified to stand up to Chiang Kai-shek.

Later, an aide presented a plan to Liao Wenyi: The main reason why the "Republic of China" was able to survive and occupy Taiwan Island was because Chiang Kai-shek was there; if Chiang Kai-shek stretched his legs and swallowed his breath, the "Republic of China" would be finished, and the "Republic of Taiwan" would certainly be established in name only.

Liao Wenyi even said that "what he said was reasonable" and prepared to assassinate Chiang Kai-shek. In the autumn of 1961, he finally found an assassin named Zheng Songtao, who was proficient in pistol shooting and was a famous sharpshooter at the "Taiwan Police Academy" at that time, who boasted: "Give me five hundred taels of gold, and you can buy Chiang Kai-shek's head!" ”

On October 26, 1961, Zheng Songtao flew from Tokyo to Taipei and immediately invited Yue Anhe, a criminal police officer of the Criminal Investigation Brigade of the Taipei City Police Department. Yue Anhe and Zheng Songtao are classmates and have a good relationship. Zheng Songtao said that he changed his career to become a journalist. The trip is intended to conduct some interviews on the inside story of Taiwan's political scene.

Yue An and Xin believed it to be true and promised to provide the inside story they knew.

After three consecutive days of "interviews," Zheng Songtao was already familiar with Chiang Kai-shek's relevant situation, so he found an excuse to say to Yue Anhe to suspend. Zheng borrowed a pistol from Yue Anhe and said it was self-defense. Yue Anhe felt that something was wrong, and the newspaper had already announced that Chiang Kai-shek was going to give a speech at the "Revolutionary Practice Research Institute" the next afternoon, and Zheng Songtao wanted to borrow a pistol at this time. Yue An and decided to report.

After receiving Yue Anhe's report, Chiang Ching-kuo summoned Chen Daqing, the "director of the Security Bureau," and sent him to arrest Zheng Songtao at the Dragon Hotel. Not long after, Chen Daqing called: Zheng Songtao had left the White Dragon Hotel and did not know where to go.

It turned out that Zheng Songtao noticed that the situation had changed and fled to Japan overnight.

Chiang Ching-kuo then formally assigned the task of assassinating Zheng Songtao to the State Security Bureau. The "Security Bureau" dispatched an action team composed of three agents, Shi Fengtao, Qi Jianrong, and Li Zhengzheng, of whom Li Zhengzheng was one of the few female agents in Taiwan at that time.

On the morning of November 29, 196, Zheng Songtao came to the subway platform. Qi Jianrong walked over from the side and casually threw the banana peel on the ground as he passed by Zheng Songtao's side.

At this time, the roar of the train was heard, and a young girl dressed as a countryman appeared next to Zheng Songtao, holding a piece of paper in her hand, bowing to Zheng Songtao while saying in Japanese: "Sir, please take more care!" ”

Zheng Songtao thought that the "country girl" was going to ask for directions, and just about to answer, Shi Fengtao, who was not far away, suddenly shouted: "Ah Chuan, where are you?" ”

Li Zhengzheng hurriedly turned back, "unexpectedly" his foot was stepping on the banana peel, his body hit his toes forward, and his hands pushed Zheng Songtao. Zheng Songtao was caught off guard and was immediately pushed into the orbit. Just then, the wheels of the train ran mercilessly past him!

Zheng Songtao's death constitutes a piece of news in Tokyo. The Japanese police investigated the case, but found nothing.

The "Taiwan independence" sharpshooters asked for five hundred taels of gold to assassinate Chiang Kai-shek, but instead were pushed into the rails and died in a foreign land

After that, Liao Wenyi feared that he would become the next target of assassination, and the "Taiwan independence" tune became lower and lower. After Chiang Kai-shek heard this, he sent someone to send a message to Liao Wenyi: As long as he abandons "Taiwan independence," he is welcome to return to Taiwan.

On March 6, 1965, Liao Wenyi announced the dissolution of the "Taiwan United Front" in Tokyo. On May 15, 1965, Liao Wenyi returned to Taiwan and successively served as the director of the Zengwen Reservoir Preparatory Committee and the deputy director of the Taichung Port Preparatory Committee.
