"Zippo", a Twitter user who had previously revealed that "Persona 4 Midnight Arena" landed on Switch, broke the news that "Persona 3 Portable Edition", which had been launched on PSP, would launch a multi-platform reset version (Remaster), and the project was likely to be one of the series projects launched by Atlus to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the "Persona" series.
Persona 3 Portable edition is a content enhancement to the original PS2 version that Atlus launched on the Sony PSP in 2009. The game adds gender selection of male and female protagonists with different plots and personality masks. In addition to the main character, the game adds a new male velvet room assistant character "Diodor" to the original, as well as the choice of spending time with the characters of the SEAS protagonist group.
However, as a portable version of the game more than a decade ago, due to the performance of the PSP, the animation cutscenes, character modeling and daily 3D free exploration in the original PS2 version of the game have been cancelled, giving way to the maze adventure. The game retains AVG's story dialogue, but daily exploration becomes an option, and the protagonist does not appear in the scene.
If it is true that as Zippo revealed that "Persona 3 Pocket Edition" will launch a reset version, I really hope that Atlus can make up the part that was castrated on the PSP that year, rather than just strengthening the graphics and sound effects, after all, although there are many people who are looking forward to the return of "Kitaro", there are also many new players starting from P5.
