At the foot of Mount Taishan in Shandong, there is a tomb built for chen Guang, the acting commander of the 115th Division, and his wife Shi Ruichu. In this quiet Feicheng Lufang Battle Martyrs Cemetery, the couple's joint burial tomb is mentioned, and there is a sad and poignant little story that causes people to cry.

General Chen Guang, during his lifetime, defended the Chinese nation against foreign aggression and made great achievements. In the second year after the outbreak of the all-out anti-Japanese war, he relied on his composure and calm and careful work, and was promoted to the acting commander of the 115th Division of the Eighth Route Army. As his party advanced to the edge of the Yellow River, he was forced to engage the Japanese devils. According to Comrade Mao Zedong's strategic policy, the enemy is strong and we are weak, and we should avoid the hard-hitting enemy.
So Chen Guang changed the direction of the team's travel and led the team into the mountainous area. Since the Japanese army armor could not advance in the mountains, after a day of fierce fighting with the enemy, Chen Guang led his team very easily, escaping the encirclement of Japanese army fire in the night. Among them, the 115th Division of the Eighth Route Army, the 686th Regiment, and the party and government organs of the Taisi Special Committee were preserved.
In this battle, more than 1,300 Japanese troops were annihilated, and the 115th Division lost more than 200 troops. The campaign recreated the Eighth Route Army's flexible and agile victory with fewer victories.
The local people built a martyrs' cemetery for the soldiers of the Eighth Route Army who died in the Battle of Lufang, and there is a single cement tomb in the park, and the stone stele of the tomb is engraved with several large characters: Tomb of Comrade Shi Ruichu. I heard that it was written by Duan Junyi, secretary of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee.
Shi Ruichu was the wife of General Chen Guang, she did not die in Lufang, why was she buried here?
Shi Ruichu was a revolutionary fighter, and in the July 7 Incident in 1937, she participated in the army and participated in the army as a military doctor. Less than two years after she and Chen Guang were married, the Lufang War broke out. In the battle of Lufang, she was unfortunately locked up in Lufang together with the divisional organs, and the enemy surrounded her. Thanks to the proper command of General Chen Guang, the army was able to escape victoriously. In the years that followed, the two were inseparable, marching south and fighting in the north, moving forward side by side, and finally saw the dawn of new China.
General Chen Guang is respected, he participated in the Shonan Uprising in 1928, the Eighth Route Army marched all the way, he was also born into death, a lifetime of horse fighting, clothes and gold back home. Unexpectedly, after the founding of New China, he was not spared in the internal contradiction struggle, internal contradictions in the country appeared one after another, the Communist Party had only been founding New China for less than ten years, and all kinds of national problems and people's contradictions needed to be properly handled step by step and step by step. It was in such chaos that Comrade Chen Guang was unfortunately imprisoned. During the period of house arrest in Wuhan, he did not go a day without thinking about his wife and family. In 1954 he was unable to bear the pain of house arrest, went insane, and finally ended his life by self-immolation.
His wife, Shrichu, was under the same enormous pressure. After learning the bad news. In order to bring up her son, who had never understood things, she decided to change her surname for her son, and both sons were surnamed Shi.
In ancient times, women needed to keep three from four virtues, and Shi Ruichu was no exception. The night she changed her surname, she wept bitterly, and pleaded bitterly to the heavens in the darkness, hoping to bring up her two children: "Chen Guang, I know that you are a warrior all your life, you are just and upright, and your personality will never accept defeat." You are a revolutionary! Say you are counter-revolutionary. I won't believe it when I die!" For the sake of my own children, I have no choice, I Shredchu I am sorry for you! My comrades-in-arms, my husbands! ”
Chen Guang was wronged and stayed until Zhaoxue, thirty-four years later, in 1988.
Thirty-eight years of misery and bitterness were finally calmed down after General Chen Guang was rehabilitated. After rehabilitation, the two sons listened to their mother's words and changed their surname back to the Chen family. She went back and forth several times, inquiring in many places without result, and his relics were lost forever.
She fell in 1994, and in June, she left her own will: After I die, please bury my ashes at the foot of Lufang Phoenix Mountain, where I fought with the general, to show that I have devoted my life to the revolution and live with my husband Chen Guang.
Which son doesn't want to miss his father? The mother's will made the son equally sad and sad, and the son Chen Xiaoxing, in order to solve the problem of the inheritance of incense and ancestral temple inheritance by the heirs, decided to visit the four seas and inquire everywhere, and finally got his reward in all kinds of hardships. He returned to his hometown of Hunan to hold a handful of land, and then reburied his father's relics together with his mother's ashes, which led to the joint burial tomb under the southern slope of Phoenix Mountain. The father's lifelong battle, everywhere he went, in the process of searching for his father, it was deeply engraved in his son's memory.
It may be a less appropriate and regrettable corner, but it is also a joint tomb of special commemorative significance. There are still many such revolutionary couples who have sacrificed their precious youth for the revolution, and all the dusty past, bitterness and sadness, have all been integrated into the land with this land, and the remains of revolutionary martyrs are wafting everywhere.
The misfortune of Chen Guang and his wife has left a sad mark on this land. The mountains whimper, the pines sing, the cypress branches chirp, and the mountain birds chirp.
Later, when everyone stood in front of the tomb and remembered these two martyrs, they could always remember Marx's words: In the face of our ashes, noble people will shed tears. The people at the foot of Mount Tai will never forget Chen Guang's contribution to the revolutionary cause.
