What do I think when I'm running?

Haruki Murakami says many of the ways he writes novels come to mind every morning as he runs along the track.

When I hummed and ran on the treadmill yesterday, my head remembered his words.

Still, the most important thing still occupies most of my attention, "Oh, run for 40 minutes, it feels so long."

I wanted to finish it quickly and then go home and do things, feeling that there was still a lot of work to be done.

However, if I keep running with this mentality, then these 40 minutes are very painful, maybe I ran to 30 minutes and 'got off the table' early.

I can't do this, now exercise and sleep and study are the three major things in my life.

Such a heavy thing, if I make it difficult to experience it well, it will be difficult to continue.

Recalling what Flow: The Psychology of Optimal Experience says, "Turn a lot of things you usually do into self-goal experiences, let alienation become intervention, let fun replace boredom, let the sense of powerlessness become a sense of control, and mental ability will be invested in strengthening the self, no longer wasted on external goals."

So, how do you turn everyday things into self-targeted experiences?

The method described in the book is:

Establish an overall goal and include as many actual sub-goals as possible;

1. Find out how to assess the progress of the goal;

2. Keep the mind focused on what you are doing and make an increasingly fine distinction between the challenges involved in the activity;

3. Develop the skills needed for improvisation;

4. Increase the difficulty of the challenge at any time when the activity becomes boring.

I targeted it: to enjoy 40 minutes of physical sweating.

Then I broke down the 40 minutes into 4 10 minutes, and when I got to the 10 minute medium target, I divided it into 2 five minutes. Running for 5 minutes is easy.

In the process, I focused my mind on my back and abdomen.

The back is because I have been working for a long time, the shoulder and neck will be uncomfortable, so when running, the action and angle of the arm swing must be accurate and in place, in order to effectively activate the shoulder and neck.

The abdomen is because the core must be stable when exercising, so it is necessary to tighten the stomach, if you want to run effectively, also raise the legs slightly to run (similar to the discounted version of the high legs), drag the steps to run, so that it feels very weak, no sense of strength.

In this process, adjust the speed from time to time, one will run faster, one will run slower, increase the fun.

I experienced the joy of immersive exercise, slowly shifting my focus on the flow of time to the running itself.

I feel my body, getting rid of tiredness, tiredness, slowly becoming lighter, sweating, expelling toxins and negative energy!

If you run in the park, with the sunset, with the smell of fragrant grass and trees, there are runners around, and the other half runs together, then the experience is 100 points.

Guess you still want to see:

If you have a flower in your heart, it will bloom sooner or later

The right thing to do, do it consistently, there will be a day when dreams come true
