How to use and precautions for precision balances

How to use an electronic precision balance

  1. Check and adjust the electronic precision balance to the horizontal position.

  2. Check whether the power supply voltage matches in advance (if necessary, configure the voltage regulator), and warm up to the required time according to the requirements of the instrument.

  3. After preheating up enough time, open the balance switch, and the balance will automatically adjust the sensitivity and zero point. After the stabilization sign is displayed, the formal weighing can be carried out.

  4. When weighing, put the clean weighing bottle or weighing paper on the weighing plate, close the side door, tap the depose button, the balance will automatically correct the zero point, and then gradually add the substance to be weighed until the required weight.

  5. At the end of weighing, the weighing bottle (paper) should be removed in time, the side door should be closed, the power supply should be cut off, and the use of the use should be registered. Electronic precision balances

How to use and precautions for precision balances

  Precautions for using precision balances

  1. The precision balance should be placed on a solid and stable cement or wooden platform, and the room should be clean, dry and at a relatively constant temperature, and the light should be avoided directly hitting the balance.

  2. The material should be taken from the side door during weighing, and the box door should be closed during the reading to avoid the balance swinging caused by air movement. The front door is only used when servicing or removing residual material.

  3. If the precision balance is not used for a long time, it should be regularly powered on and preheated, once a week, each time for 2h to ensure that the instrument is always in good working condition.

  4. The balance box should be placed moisture absorber (such as silicone), when the moisture absorber absorbs water discoloration, it should be immediately baked at high temperature to replace to ensure moisture absorption performance.

  5. Volatile, corrosive, strong acid and alkali substances should be weighed in the weighing bottle with cap to prevent corrosion of the balance.

  6. Weigh the maximum load of the balance.

  7. Electronic balances are often self-calibrated or regularly externally to ensure that they are in optimal condition.

  8. If the balance fails, it shall not be repaired without authorization, and shall be reported immediately to the person in charge of quality of the test center.

  9. Precision balances should not be moved frequently after they are placed. When it is necessary to move, after moving the position of the balance, it should be corrected by the municipal metrology department before it can be used.
