According to the Suining Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection, Yang Yu had problems such as accepting bribes in the declaration of project funds. From 2009 to 2021, when Yang Yu served as the deputy researcher of the former Municipal Economic and Trade Commission, the chief of the technical transformation section, the member of the party group and deputy director of the Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, he took advantage of his position to seek benefits for related companies and others in the company's declaration of industrial development funds and the review and acceptance of technological transformation funds, and received cash from 37 people for a total of more than 1.6 million yuan on 117 occasions.
