author:China Energy News

According to United Press International, Mozambique recently launched the sixth round of oil and gas exploration tenders, announcing a total of 16 new areas, distributed in four different regions, with a total area of more than 92,000 square kilometers.

It is reported that the evaluation criteria and other relevant information for this round of tenders are published on the website of the Mozambique Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy. Carlos, chairman of the board of directors of the Mozambican Petroleum Authority, said that through this round of licensing tenders, Mozambique plans to assess the potential of its own oil and gas resources and promote Mozambique's socio-economic development by providing resources to the market.

It is understood that in August this year, Mozambique's new concession strategy in the field of oil and gas research and production was approved, laying the foundation for continuous and systematic exploration of oil and gas in the Moruvuma Basin, while reducing the time for public bidding for concessions from three years to two years to promote domestic and foreign investment.
