According to ESPN statistics, Messi has surpassed Pele in career goals.
In the early hours of this morning, Paris Saint-Germain beat Brugge 4-1 at home in the final group stage of the Champions League, and Messi scored twice.
ESPN said Messi had scored 758 goals so far in his career, surpassing Pele's 757 goals.
