According to the emergency bureau of Kazuo County, Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province, on December 4, 2021, a gas leak occurred during the operation of the No. 4 blast furnace of Chaoyang Mingxin Casting Co., Ltd. (now renamed Kazuo Baoshun Casting Co., Ltd.), resulting in a coma among the on-site operators of the enterprise, and the enterprise immediately organized personnel to rescue on the spot and sent to the hospital.
Workers Huang Guosheng (male, 30 years old, from Xiasanjia Village, Gongyingzi Town, Kazuo County) and Lian Dianchen (male, 25 years old, from Zhanshanzi Village, Zhongsanjia Town, Kazuo County) were sent to the hospital and died of ineffective rescue. Chen Donghui and four others were slightly injured, none of whom were life-threatening.
The Kazuo County Government has set up an investigation team to carry out follow-up work.
