On December 6, local time, the German Social Democratic Party announced the list of ministers of the new cabinet, in addition to the prime minister-designate Scholz, there are 8 female ministers and 8 male ministers, which is the first time that gender balance has appeared among German cabinet ministers.

According to the New York Times reported on December 6, in the new German cabinet, women will serve as ministers related to all security and foreign affairs, such as Germany's first female foreign minister Annalena Belberg, the first female interior minister Nancy Fisher, and the female defense minister Kristin Lambrecht. Chancellor-designate Scholz said: "In Germany, the proportion of men and women in the total population is about 50% each (according to this year's data, German men account for about 49% of the country's total population and women account for about 51%). So I think women deserve half the rights in government. I am very proud of this Cabinet of Gender Equality. Krala Gerwitz, the incoming minister of construction, said she was "very happy" to be able to enter a gender-equal cabinet, while she believed that the phenomenon of having eight female ministers in the new cabinet was "very important" for German women.

Long before he campaigned, Scholz said he was committed to creating a "gender-equal cabinet government." In the ensuing campaign, he won the support of voters under the slogan "Concern for ordinary people and social justice" and was eventually elected as the new German chancellor. Scholz and the new cabinet will be sworn in on December 8 local time.
