The 3rd Shanghai FinTech International Forum and the 1st Yangtze River Delta FinTech Conference China UnionPay Sub-Forum were held in Shanghai on December 5. Lu Yong, head of the preparatory group of the Shanghai Data Exchange, said at the meeting that the Shanghai Data Exchange will strive to form a state-level exchange in 3 to 5 years, basically forming the "Shanghai Digital" brand, further enhancing the statutory data trading functions such as compliance, registration and clearing, and promoting data trading to be more prosperous.

Lu Yong said that the Shanghai Data Exchange should not only closely follow the positioning of the construction of the national data exchange, highlight the function of quasi-public institution services, build a fully digital trading system, and at the same time realize the construction of a comprehensive digital ecology and the innovation of institutional rules, and further improve the entire data trading system.

Lu Yong said that data, as an element, will play a multiplier role in the entire economic development. At present, it is still in the process of developing data resources to data elements, and in the future, data elements will form data assets. And the process of data assetization will drive great changes in society as a whole.
