Wild Elephant Valley Station: Rainforest Elephant Immersive Experience

Located in Mengyang Town, Jinghong City, Yexianggu Station is a passenger and cargo intermediate station, covering an area of more than 2,000 acres, with a station building area of about 2,500 square meters and a maximum gathering of 400 people.

The main body of the Wild Elephant Valley Station looks like an Asian elephant strolling leisurely in the tropical rainforest, and the station building is designed with the concept of "Tropical Rainforest, Natural Wild Elephant Valley". The overall shape stems from the excavation of the traditional elements of the Wild Elephant Valley, which deforms the elephant trunk shape and applies it to the suspended ceiling area of the waiting hall, implying that the water spray elephant spews out joy and auspicious happiness.

The design idea of the column pattern comes from the palm plant commonly found in the rainforest, which is combined with the cylinder in the form of relief patterns, and the regional characteristics are strong. In terms of space color, elephant gray and ivory white are the basic background colors, and wood grain and green are space embellishment colors, echoing the design theme at the same time, making the image of the entire station more natural and flexible.

The station is adjacent to the Asian Elephant Nature Reserve, with the Mengyang Tunnel at one end and the Xishuangbanna Tunnel at the other. In order not to affect the activities of wild elephants, the relevant departments investigated the distribution and migration channels of Asian elephants, and finally decided to avoid the main activity areas of Asian elephants, and minimized the impact of railway construction on the ecological environment along the line by extending tunnels, replacing roads with bridges, and setting up isolation fences, creating a green development road of harmonious coexistence between man and nature.

These are the fruits and vegetables that Asian elephants usually like to eat, and then processed and transformed according to people's eating habits to make an ecological and healthy gourmet feast.
