On the afternoon of November 30th, the "Huayi Wanchuang New Institute" located at No. 1441 Humin Road returned home and held a garden opening ceremony with the theme of "Gathering Dreams and Win-win Future".
No. 1441 Humin Road, which was originally the factory area of Great China Chint Rubber Factory, a leading enterprise in the Shanghai rubber industry, has a pivotal and important position in the national rubber industry, has a deep historical background in industrial development, and is also known as "the cradle of China's national rubber industry".
Due to the adjustment of industrial structure and the relocation of enterprise production capacity, the factory area of Greater China Chint Rubber Factory was suspended and idle in 2007. After the construction of the core area of the Southern Shanghai Science and Technology Innovation Center was launched, the T-shaped development axis of Jianchuan Road on Humin Road was positioned as the innovation and entrepreneurship industry agglomeration area of Da zero Bay, and the Great China Chint Rubber Factory was located at the intersection of the T axis, and the old industrial relics urgently needed to be renovated.
Under the guidance of the relevant departments of Minhang District, in December 2019, huayi chemical industry, Shanghai Vanke and Minhang nongsheng invested by the three parties to start the transformation and industrial upgrading of the Greater China Zhengtai Rubber Factory, and build the Minhang urban renewal benchmarking project - Huayi Wanchuang New Institute, so that this old factory with a long history will become a model of "reverse growth" urban renewal.
The industrial park is deeply integrated with the community block
A few years ago, the birth of the "Shangsheng New Institute" turned the originally closed and single old office building and production plant into a 7×24-hour open community, which is still a famous Internet celebrity punch card in the magic capital to this day.
With the open park as the development concept, Huayi Wanchuang New Institute brings together the dreams of new students in cities, areas and factories to create new landmarks in the city, which will realize the deep integration of "science and technology + cultural creation" park with communities and neighborhoods. This butterfly-born work is expected to attract more people to punch in.
In view of the 18 buildings left over from the historical industrial plant, the design of the park retains the advantages of high-rise height and strong load-bearing, fully respects the industrial heritage of the site, and applies the simple and loose style of Bauhausism to the overall design. By retaining the factory elements, refining the design language, transforming modern functions and other processes, the historical memory of the park is continued and the function is reborn.
It is understood that in the transformation, all the walls around the factory building were demolished, the interface was all opened, and replaced by an open square and a green corridor trail, so as to open the internal space to the surrounding residents, universities, office customers, and completely connected with the surrounding living space.
It is worth mentioning that the landscape and traffic environment around the park will continue to be optimized in the future: the talent park is expected to be completed by the end of 2022; after the completion of the underground garage of the talent park, about 400 parking spaces for motor vehicles will be added; and the Hengjing Port Kechuang Water Street will create an urban waterfront open space with a science and technology + cultural and creative atmosphere...
At the same time, the indoor and outdoor activities in the park are complete, and basketball clubs, rowing clubs, waterfront recreational paths, circular jogging tracks, etc. have been initially formed or are under preparation.

It is reported that the park is positioned mainly in the industrial office, equipped with commercial, public conference rooms and other supporting facilities, through nesting and phoenixing, linkage resources, to build a broad platform for the development of enterprises, focusing on attracting intelligent manufacturing, high-end equipment, a new generation of information technology, new materials and other industrial fields of enterprises to settle in.
