Aston Martin: The V12 version of the Vantage model is coming to an end

author:Interface News

For consumers with a large wallet budget and obsessed with the surging sound of multiple cylinders, aston Martin's news may be both gratifying and somewhat regrettable.

Aston Martin has announced that the V12 Vantage model will return, but it won't last long, as it will be the finale of the V12 engine Vantage model.

The model, which is designed to compete with the Porsche 911 Turbo S, will be available in 2022, but Aston Martin has not yet revealed any details about the model's design or technical specifications.

However, some of the details of the new car have actually been made public – earlier this year, foreign media camouflage car photographers found Vantage's test car on the Nürburgring track, and it was already certain that it was using a V12 engine. There are currently no Vantage models that offer this power configuration, and even similar-size models are only the V12 Speedster, which is a limited edition.

For reference, the 5.2-liter V12 twin-turbo engine, housed within the V12 Speedster, produces 700 hp and 753 Nm of torque, with an acceleration time of 3.5 seconds from 0-100 km/h and a top speed of 300 km/h.

Aston Martin: The V12 version of the Vantage model is coming to an end

Aston Martin CEO Tobias Moers has previously outlined plans to launch 10 new derivatives based on existing models over the next two years, and the V12 Vantage is one of them.

Morse has previously confirmed that the V12 engine will not always be in the brand's plans. He said Aston Martin would turn entirely to powertrains sourced from AMG. The official release of the route about the "final version" suggests that the Vantage may mark the end of the ancient engine.

In fact, the V12 engine currently in use on the Aston Martin model is the product of the company's partnership with AMG (first appeared in the 2016 model DB11), and AMG has significantly revamped the V12 with two turbines. But the basis for development is still the old technology that Ford provided in the last century.

That means the British company will face the challenge of getting the V12 engine through Euro 7 emissions standards, but Morse also acknowledged in an interview that "V12 enthusiasts" would make the effort worthwhile.

The current Vantage, launched in 2018, will be replaced by an all-electric sports coupe in 2025. Plug-in hybrid models are also under consideration. Once confirmed, the new car will be used by mercedes AMG offers the same new plug-in hybrid device as its next-generation C63 (W206).

An insider also revealed a detail that the current V8 Vantage will be the last car with a manual transmission option from Aston Martin. This is increasingly proof of the company's determination to radically lead to electrification.

Other changes to the new car are also expected to include chassis upgrades and a new infotainment system.
