The enhancement of the awareness of keeping pace with the times and the sense of personality is an important feature of today's Chinese painting world. In the meantime, the painters' respective aesthetic orientations varied widely. As far as landscape painting is concerned, a considerable number of them take the traditional and Western path, but their respective perspectives on tradition and the West have various differences, especially their artistic understanding and cultural literacy are many different, so the creative results they have achieved have also opened up the distance.
The aesthetic qualities of Yan Ming's landscape paintings can be summarized in two sentences: color and ink concerto, poetic overflowing. The most emblematic feature of this personality is a number of works with ancient poems as the motif, and the aesthetic realm created by these works is to extract the most touching "factors" from the deep understanding of natural beauty, combined into idealized landscapes, or "heart-like landscapes", full of poetic humor, such as dreams, elegant and beautiful. Sometimes like the long Xiao piccolo, the clear sound is agitated; sometimes like jiangnan silk bamboo, haunting and back, emotional.
Yan Ming's works are blended with rubbing and splashing color, pen and ink and texture are blended, ink is bone qi, color is shen rhyme, and together they play a dreamlike life movement. In his pen, the clouds and smoke in the long sky are changing and confusing, the mountains are strange and beautiful, and the trees are vigorously pulled. His use of moisture and colour is more subtle and subtle, demonstrating his ability to master traditional techniques and master new techniques. The layers of color ink reveal crystal light and shadow, the sound is sonorous in the light and elegant, and the edges between the blends and dyes are clear, exuding a rhythmic, long-lasting, traditional and modern cultural atmosphere.

Yan Ming, a native of Yangzhou. Graduated from the China Academy of Art (formerly the National Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts), he was admitted to the Yangzhou National Painting Institute to engage in artistic creation, and worked as an art editor in Yangzhou Daily. Director of the Calligraphy and Painting Creation Office of Jiangsu Art Museum, full-time painter, national first-class artist. He is a member of the China Artists Association, a member of the National Arts Fund Jury, a member of the Jiangsu Provincial Art Senior Title Review Committee, a director of the Jiangsu International Cultural Exchange Center, a director of the Jiangsu Overseas Friendship Association, and an adjunct professor of the Art Department of Kennesaw University in Georgia, USA.
His works have been selected for many major national and provincial exhibitions and won many awards, his works and papers have been published in dozens of national key academic core journals, and many works have been collected by national collection institutions.
From 1998 to 2001, he was invited by the cultural departments of Germany and Austria to hold solo exhibitions in Frankfurt and Vienna. He has held solo and group exhibitions in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan for many times.
His work "Xu Xiake's Travels" was selected for the "10th National Fine Arts Exhibition", his work "Autumn Land" was selected for the "Fifth National Exhibition of Industrial Brush Painting" (sponsored by the China Artists Association), his work "Kuang Yun Tu" won the "Fourth National Landscape Painting Exhibition" Excellence Award (sponsored by the China Federation of Literature and Literature), his work "Vitality in the West" won the "National Chinese Painting Exhibition" Excellence Award (sponsored by the China Artists Association), the work "Autumn Rhyme in the Old Garden" won the "International Exhibition of Chinese Paintings for the Protection of World Cultural Heritage" (sponsored by the China Artists Association), and the work "Qiuhua" was selected" Sino-French Cultural Year - Chinese Style Contemporary Chinese Painting Exhibition" and exhibited in France (sponsored by the China Artists Association), his works were published and won the "Chinese Painters" Magazine Annual Chinese Painting Creation Award, the work "Snow Field Feelings" won the bronze medal of the "First Jiangsu Provincial Art Festival", the work "Autumn" won the bronze medal of the "First Jiangsu Landscape Painting Exhibition", the work "Memory" won the bronze medal of the "New Jiangsu School Colorful Century Chinese Painting Exhibition", the work was selected into the "West Lake International Art Biennale", and the work "Leisurely in the Sky" won the "Fuji International Ink Exhibition of Japan" Excellence Award.
