Quyuan Restaurant is the oldest time-honored restaurant in Beijing that has always adhered to the traditional Hunan cuisine; the Chinese culinary master sitting in Quyuan Restaurant, Master Zhang Jingyan, is also one of the working Hunan cuisine masters in Beijing.

This famous Hunan cuisine restaurant has only been relocated 6 times after entering Beijing, and the history of the store is like the name of the store, which has undergone several twists and turns, but with the taste of every fire, the old customers follow the store. It has been 27 years since Quyuan Restaurant moved out of Xidan Business District in 1994. In the past 27 years, the Hunan cuisine production technology of Quyuan Restaurant has successfully applied for the intangible cultural heritage, the fifth generation of Quyuan Restaurant, Master Zhang Jingyan, who has received apprentice Xu Shenchen, in addition, some Hunan cuisine cooking techniques such as Dong'an Chicken have been improved to make old dishes change their appearance, keep pace with the times, and win the reputation of customers.

A Brief History of Quyuan Restaurant:

Quyuan Restaurant was founded in the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty (1890), in Changsha, Hunan.

In 1949, it moved into Beijing, which was located on the second floor of the Ailin Department Store on Xidan North Avenue.

In 1957, it moved into the later address opposite Xidan Mall.

After operating in Xidan for more than 40 years, Quyuan Restaurant ceased operations in 1994, ending its business career in Xidan area, moving to the southeast corner of Chegongzhuang Intersection in Xicheng District, and opening a semicolon in Fengtai Garden.

In the autumn of 1997, it was moved to No. 145 Fuwai North Street.

In September 2005, after more than ten years of southward migration and northward migration, it was reopened at No. 48 Exhibition Hall Road in Xicheng District.

In 2021, Quyuan Restaurant realized its dream and returned to Xidan Business District.
