Can't be poor enough to be a bear? Moldova, which is dominated by Russia, where is the future?

author:Shizuya Shizushi

Moldova, the poorest country in Europe, is a landlocked country that has been torn apart for a long time.

Can't be poor enough to be a bear? Moldova, which is dominated by Russia, where is the future?

On 17 September 2006, a massive referendum was held in the distant Transnistrian Republic, with a turnout of 78.5 per cent.

According to the results of the vote, 97.1% of the people supported the independence of the German Left Republic and joined Russia, and 94.6% opposed the return of the German Left Republic to Moldova.

This was an almost one-sided referendum result, so much so that even Western forces such as the United States and the European Union, and even the "owner" Moldovan authorities unanimously said that the referendum was illegal, they could not stop the German Left Republic from going all the way east.

However, in the face of the same "expectations" as the Crimean incident 8 years later, Russia chose silence, and in the end, the German Left Republic failed to become the "lucky one" like Crimea.

However, although Russia did not comment on the referendum result, it never said that it would give up the land, and the Russian peacekeeping forces stationed on the land of the German Left Republic are still a direct proof of Russia's influence on the German Left Republic to this day.

Therefore, although the referendum of the German Left Republic failed to successfully change the flag, it still maintained its independent status of "crossing the river" with Moldova.

This is the most embarrassing place in Moldova, because although the name of the country is "many", the reality is that Moldova is rare even "watts", and it is like the "first poor country in Europe" in a fake bag. Coupled with the long tearing of the Republic of the German Left, it has been snowing in moldova's heart.

What is even more fatal is that even without the so-called public opinion of safeguarding national unity, the embarrassing position sandwiched between the great powers dooms Moldova to be impossible to abandon the German Left Republic to lightly carry the position and the Western countries are in love.

This made Moldova the most speechless, after all, the most terrible thing in the world is that no matter how hard you try, you can't see hope.

The fundamental reason why Moldova is poor and torn is that since ancient times, it has been a place where the great powers have gone from east to west and from south to north.

The history of Moldova is inseparable from Romania in the west and Russia in the east.

To some extent, in addition to the Republic of The Left, Moldova and Romania are the same blood, the same identity as the descendants of the Dacians, doomed Moldova and Romania to be the same origin, two countries under one civilization.

The earliest Dacians were ruled by the Roman Empire, and after the fall of the Western Roman Empire in 476, Daccia was invaded by Hungarians and Mongols, and gradually divided into 3 autonomous principalities, namely Wallachia, Moldavia and Transylvania, of which Moldavia was the predecessor of Moldova.

After the rise of the Ottoman Empire, Dacia became a vassal of the Ottoman Empire. After the Ottoman Empire flourished and declined, European powers flocked to the country, and then Austria-Hungary took Transylvania.

In 1812, the Ottoman Empire was defeated in the 7th Russo-Turkish War and was forced to cede a large area of eastern Moldavia to Tsarist Russia, which later named it "Bessarabia", and Moldavia was divided in two.

In 1856, Tsarist Russia suffered a crushing defeat in the Crimean War and had to spit out Bessarabia, but retained the Transnistrian left bank area.

At that time, the Ottoman Empire was already weakening, especially after Greece took the lead in breaking away from the Ottoman Empire in 1831, the Balkan Peninsula gradually surged; in 1862, with the support of Western countries, Wallachia and Moldavia outside Of Bessarabia were merged into the Autonomous Kingdom of Romania; after the outbreak of the 10th Russo-Turkish War in 1877, the Romanian Kingdom took the opportunity to declare independence, but Bessarabia was once again included in the territory of Tsarist Russia.

At that time, the Second Industrial Revolution developed rapidly, and after the great powers entered the era of imperialism, the contradictions between them intensified, and finally promoted the outbreak of the First World War.

The First World War, with unprecedented brutality, completely subverted the four major European empires, and the Ottoman Empire also fell apart after returning to the light. Before the outbreak of the war, in order to win Romania over, the Allies promised to cede Tsarist-ruled Bessarabia to Romania after victory, and the Allies promised that Transylvania, occupied by Austria-Hungary, would become an integral part of Romania after the event.

After a series of trade-offs, Romania was finally deeply impressed by the "sincerity" of the Allies. After the end of World War I, Romania won the Transylvania region as it wished.

Because the Tsarist Empire collapsed completely during World War I, the "February Revolution" and the "October Revolution" broke out one after another, and the situation in Russia was turbulent, Bessarabia on the right bank of the Transnistrian River, instigated by Romania, took the opportunity to become independent and establish the "Moldavian Democratic Republic".

In March 1918, in order to withdraw from the "First World War", Soviet Russia and Germany signed the harsh Treaty of Brest, forced to recognize the independence of Finland, Poland and Ukraine, which was even more difficult than Sarabia, and Romania took the opportunity to merge with the Moldavian Democratic Republic.

Although after germany's defeat, Soviet Russia was unable to fully recover the land ceded by the Brest Treaty, but never recognized the merger of Romania with Bessarabia. After the establishment of the Soviet Union in 1922, the "Autonomous Republic of Moldavia" of the same name was established in 1923 on the left bank of the Transnistria River on the border between the Ukrainian Republic and Romania, which was subordinate to the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic.

After the collapse of the Soviet-Polish War in 1920, The Soviet Union temporarily stopped its revolutionary export efforts; after Lenin's death in 1924, Stalin focused his main energy on economic development, especially the construction of a heavy industrial system, in order to cope with the situation of strong enemies.

After the rise of fascist forces in the 1930s, the haze of World War II began to envelop the world. After the Soviet-German Non-Aggression Pact was secretly concluded on August 23, 1939, Germany unleashed World War II, partitioned Poland with the Soviet Union, and swept westward through Western Europe.

In response to the coming Soviet-German war, the Soviet Union vigorously constructed the so-called "Eastern Front", and at the same time as launching the Soviet-Finnish War in November 1939 to seize a large area of Land in Finland, the Soviet Union also marched into Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania in March 1940, and in June 1940 made a demand for Romania to "return" Bisalabia.

Although Romania at that time was an ally of Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union was an important reliance on Nazi Germany, so Romania was "sacrificed" by Nazi Germany and forced to abandon Bessarabia, and then the Soviet Union divided Bessarabia in two, and the southern coast was divided into the Ukrainian Oblast of Odessa, and then the northern part of Bessarabia was merged with the Moldavian Autonomous Republic and upgraded to the Moldavian Socialist Republic.

Because of the Soviet Union's forcible seizure, Romania's self-esteem was deeply stung, so after the outbreak of the Soviet-German war, Romania charged forward and was the fiercest force in the servant country.

After World War II, Romania became a Soviet satellite state, and Moldavia continued to be part of the Soviet Union.

Out of distrust of the Romanians, the Soviet Union, in addition to allocating the southern region of Bessarabia to Ukraine, focused its main poverty alleviation efforts on the Left Bank of the Transnistria.

From the time of the Tsarist Russia, with the ethnic exchange of blood in Tsarist Russia to the German left region, it became the predominantly area of the East Slavs. After the Soviets captured Bessarabia, although after the war also made an attempt to occupy the magpie's nest and exiled a large number of Romanians, the German right region was always dominated by Romanians, which made Moldavia in the Soviet era with the Transnistrian River as a very different state.

In addition, in the decades of building Moldavia, the Soviet Union focused on the German left, especially industrial projects, and the German right has long been dominated by agriculture and primary processing industry, so the economic difference between the east and the west has also become wider and wider, laying the foundation for the tearing of Moldova after the collapse of the Soviet Union.

While the Stalin model helped the rapid rise of the Soviet Union and the satellite states of Eastern Europe, it also became the biggest obstacle to further social development. By the time Gorbachev came to power in 1985, the social crisis in the Soviet Union had already accumulated, so after Gorbachev's reforms, especially political reforms, were unsurprisingly broken, the Soviet edifice was crumbling and finally fell apart in 1991.

The collapse of the Soviet Union was a historical opportunity for rich countries such as the three Baltic states to get rid of the shackles of the Stalin model and embrace the West, but for poor countries that were poor enough to rely on Soviet relief, the collapse of the Soviet Union was a veritable disaster. For Moldova, the situation is even worse.

What is even more frightening than the cessation of relief and the complete elimination of the play of building a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way is that the separation of the German left and the german right is also difficult to return.

During the Soviet period, dezuo was not only the main landing point for industrial projects, but also a relatively developed economy, and the cradle of the Moldavian leadership. Therefore, the Dezuo region, which used to be high above, did not want to follow the German right region as an independent Moldova, let alone merge with Romania, and the biggest concession was as an autonomous region of Moldova.

But this is not what the German right wants to see, although there have always been three currents of thought in the country: joining Romania in the west, dancing with Russia in the east, and standing in the middle of the portal. But looking at Russia's slump or even half-dead mess, and looking at its own poor and sour appearance of not being able to survive without relief, moldova, even if it is not willing to merge with Romania, must inevitably go all the way west under the pressure of survival.

Of course, this kind of good thing of following the West to eat meat, of course, not one less, dezuo area must follow everyone to eat and drink spicy. But Dezuo repeatedly said, big brother, who are you, do I know you very well? Isn't it fragrant to mix it with Russia? So on September 2, 1990, before the collapse of the Soviet Union, the "Transnistrian Soviet Republic" came out of nowhere, which was later the Transnistrian Left Bank Republic.

In a situation where neither side can convince the other, fire and become the best solution for the fighting nation. Although the size of the German left is far from being comparable to the German right, because the Russian 14th Army in Germany left remains "neutral", even if it is robbed, it will never fight back, and even because it does not pay salaries for many years, many Russian soldiers take off their military uniforms and become German left militia, so the German left defense is successful, and at the same time, Russia and other peacekeeping troops enter, moldova in fact completely lost control of the German left.

Under such circumstances, moldova's most pragmatic approach is to abandon the German left, embrace Romania with a crippled body, and de each other's left to the east, The German right to the west, and the south and the north, do not disturb each other, each has its own destiny, and the two do not owe each other.

After all, compared with Ukraine, a regional power that runs between Russia and the West, Moldova is simply an insignificant role in addition to being poor or small. So theoretically, as long as Moldova doesn't hook up with aliens, both Russia and the West will turn a blind eye.

Can't be poor enough to be a bear? Moldova, which is dominated by Russia, where is the future?

But the problem is that Moldova, a country that sits in a powder keg in the Balkans, with its feet extended to the black sea dye vat and its shadow obscuring Ukraine, is always more valuable than the volume.

For EU countries such as Romania, it does not matter whether the Republic of Germany is part of Moldova, or even whether Moldova can be integrated into the West, after all, it is too small to be important. All they want is a simple incitement, a bland fire at the city gate, and it is enough to exhaust Russia.

Although Romania does have the heart to be the same as Moldova and the same family, Romania can still can't help but think of a lot of history that can't help but look back on the matter of touching the Russian scales.

Russia, on the other hand, does not border the German Left Republic, but it is precisely because of this that the German Left can become a nail between Ukraine and Romania, which is the greatest value of the German Left Republic relative to Russia.

Therefore, in the case of Russia's comprehensive national strength is difficult to recover for a long time, clinging to the German Left Republic and not letting go is the most basic bottom line. If strength allows, the rebuilding of the Moldavian Republic should become the basic operation.

Therefore, in the view of the history of quiet night, as long as Moldova's heart is determined to go all the way to the west, then the separation of The Left and the Right of Germany will be difficult to return.

Can't be poor enough to be a bear? Moldova, which is dominated by Russia, where is the future?

Ukraine has come out to tell everyone that desperately going all the way west may not be able to eat and drink, but it will certainly be half-dead, which is a happy way of self-destruction.

For Western countries, whether Moldova is poor or disabled, just eating with the Soviet Union for decades is doomed to lose their sincerity.

For Moldova, with the long-term collapse of Russia's comprehensive national strength, the ebb and flow of East Slavic influence in the Balkans, especially in the German Left Republic, is the general trend, but from the current situation, the best choice is still to maintain close ties with Russia while maintaining unity.

Although Russia is not as wealthy as the West, food and clothing are not a problem. Moreover, as a "wedge", Moldova, whether it cooperates with Russia to attack Ukraine or pry Romania, is enough to attract Russia's attention, and more importantly, the unity of east and west is bound to be the greatest kinetic energy of reunification.

However, time cannot be turned back, and it is even more difficult to harvest water, not to mention that the Soviet Union can only live in a dream forever, that is, the Soviet Union is still there. Who will save Moldova's long-standing heart from Russia?

Therefore, Moldova will continue to be turbulent, and it will continue to be poor.
