There are many famous loquat works that have been handed down, from the Song Dynasty Zhao Tuo's "Loquat Mountain Bird Map" to the Qing Dynasty's "Loquat Map" of Xugu and Ren Yi, and wu Changshuo and Qi Baishi in modern times also like to paint loquats.
The Qing Dynasty painter Jin Nong has a number of loquat drawings passed down, and the Shanghai China Painting Academy has a painting donated by Mr. Cheng Shifa to Jin Nong's "Wild Loquat Map", which was painted when he was seventy-six years old. On the left side of the painting, There is a poem inscribed by Jin Nong: "Enjoy the peach blossoms and plum blossoms, and you don't need credit for a thousand dollars to buy wine." Ah who dragged the green vine staff to see the monk's wild loquat." After admiring the peach blossoms and plum blossoms, the painter dragged the green vine cane to a monk's building with the drunkenness of buying wine for thousands of dollars, admired the golden loquat trees, and knew that the heat of the summer was approaching.

It is said that loquat got its name because the leaves resemble pipa, and the glyphs are very different, but the pronunciation occasionally causes misunderstandings. In ancient times, loquat was also known as Lu Tangerine, and the figure of loquat appeared in a famous poem written by Su Shi when he was demoted to Lingnan, "At four o'clock in the spring under Luofu Mountain, Lu Tangerine Yangmei was new." The little loquat gave Su Dongpo, who loved food, a comfort in his heart in the remote Lingnan land at that time. As a painter of the Painting Academy of Dongshan people in Wu County (now part of Suzhou), Ye Luyuan naturally painted the Dongshan loquat in the painting, and several clusters of golden loquat in "Lu Tangerine Summer Ripe" protruded from the branches, and the author said in the inscription that "the pot lotus before the steps is blooming", although the pot lotus has not entered the painting, it has entered the scene, adding a cool and open feeling to the hot summer day.
