In 1953, Shanhaiguan orange juice soda became a special drink for state banquets. In the early days of reform and opening up in 1978, Shanhaiguan Soda Factory expanded its scale, and its output increased from the original 6,000 to 7,000 bottles per day to 250 bottles per minute.
In December 1993, Tianjin Coca-Cola Beverage Co., Ltd. was officially announced, and Shanhaiguan Soda, a century-old brand, gradually withdrew from the market. On August 1, 2014, Shanhaiguan returned to the market and officially resumed sales in the Tianjin market. "Shanhaiguan City Wall LOGO", "Glass Bottle", "Orange Juice Soda" and "Old Taste" are retained.
In fact, there is also Zimmer, a joint venture of Coca-Cola in China, Tianjin Jinmei Beverage Company, which successfully produced a variety of high-quality "Jinmeile" soda brands in 1990. Now almost extinct, only a small amount of expired inventory can be bought in townships in Henan, Shandong and other places. Some are also fakes.
However, the beverage produced at the Happiness Canning Factory in Dandong City, Liaoning Province, tastes the same as it did. This is also one of the specialties of Dandong drinks.
