Jia Jincai was born in 1909, a native of Dazhai Village, Xiyang, Shanxi, to a poor family, and his family often ate the last meal without eating. After growing up a little, in order to make a living, Jia Jincai began to work as a long-term worker for the landlord's family, but in that era, the long-term workers were often exploited by the landlord, and Jia Jincai was tired of such days, and he was more eager to turn himself into the master.
In 1946, Jia Jincai joined our party, and after joining the party, he set up a peasant mutual aid group in his hometown to lead the masses to carry out land reform, and since then he has turned himself into the master of his own home. In 1947, Jia Jincai became the first party branch secretary of Dazhai Village, and continued to lead the villagers of Dazhai to rely on themselves and survive in the harsh natural environment.
It is worth mentioning that in the process of land reform in Dazhai Village, Jia Jincai had a "great general" by his side, and he was Chen Yonggui. At that time, Chen Yonggui called for land reform as an oppressed person, and the poor peasants and farm workers finally had their own land. Jia Jincai was particularly happy to see such a "good seedling" around him, and soon after, he introduced Chen Yonggui to the party.
With the increase in contact with Chen Yonggui, Jia Jin found that Chen Yonggui had many shining points, such as being a good cropper grower. At that time, although the poor peasants and hired farmers in Dazhai Village had land, they were limited by the natural environment and the grain production was not high. There is a set of figures that can show that in 1952, when Jia Jincai was the secretary of Dazhai Village, the output of grain per mu was only 237 catties, which was completely dependent on the sky to eat.
Thinking of this, Jia Jincai decided to let Xian, he promoted Chen Yonggui to be the secretary of the party branch of Dazhai Village, and let him continue to lead Dazhai Village to rely on itself. In 1966, Jia Jincai was even invited to Tiananmen Square to attend the National Day ceremony. In 1980, after Chen Yonggui voluntarily resigned, Jia Jincai attended the labor model conference held in Shanxi as a specially invited agricultural labor model. In 1989, he attended the national labor model conference as a specially invited agricultural labor model, and Jia Jincai also became a well-known labor model in the country.
In his later years, Jia Jincai has been living in Dazhai, living a peaceful life and living happily. In 1996, Jia Jincai died of illness at the age of 87.
