The reason why people talk about Guo Moruo's private life is because he has three wives in his life. At the age of twenty, under the arrangement of her parents, Guo Moruo married Zhang Qionghua, an old-fashioned woman. However, Guo Moruo was not satisfied with this feudal marriage, and after five days of marriage, he set off for Chengdu to study.
Later, during his study in Japan, Guo Moruo fell in love with the nurse Tomiko Sato, named her Anna, and raised four sons and a daughter together. In 1937, the Lugou Bridge Incident broke out, and Guo Moruo bid farewell to Anna and returned to China to participate in the war. Many people accused Guo Moruo of why he did not bring his wife back to China.
