After Zhao Binglin, General Dai Anlan, who led his troops to fight the Japanese Kou against Kunlun Pass, and later led the 200th Division of the National Revolutionary Army into Burma to achieve brilliant anti-Japanese achievements and sacrificed his life for the country, on April 1, 1943, the National Government held a solemn state funeral ceremony for him at the Daxiong Treasure Hall of Xiangshan Temple in Jeonju, and was also buried in the Xiangshan Treasure Land. In July 1944, due to the imminent invasion of Guangxi by the Japanese Kou, the coffin of General Dai was moved from Quanzhou, Guangxi to Huaxi, Guiyang. In 1948, after the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, Dai Anlan's coffin was moved from Huaxi in Guiyang City to his hometown- the southern foothills of the small ochre mountain in Ochre Mountain Park in Wuhu City (Wuwei County), Anhui Province.

The Zhao Baiyan Collection records a large number of historical events in the late Qing Dynasty, accounting for most of his works, and is an important historical material for modern Chinese history. Except for the Opium War and the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, which Zhao Shi did not write in detail because he had not personally experienced it, the rest of the Sino-French War, the Sino-Russian War, the Sino-Japanese War, the Wushu Reform Law, the Boxer Rebellion, the invasion of the Eight-Nation Alliance, the preparatory constitution and the death of the regent Qing Dynasty are all written in detail.
