Ding Fubao (1874-1952), also known as Zhonghu, nicknamed The Hermit of the Domain, Jiyang Broken Guard, etc., was a native of Changzhou, Jiangsu Province. In his early years, he studied at Nanjing Academy, then studied medicine and compiled a large number of medical books. Through the catalogue version, the collection of books, the construction of the "Zhenlin Jingshe" to store books, the total number of books once reached more than 100,000 volumes. Ding donated his collections to major public institutions, such as Wuxi County Library and Shanghai Municipal Library. In 1938, Ding donated 20,000 ancient books to Aurora University, which set up a "Ding Library" to commemorate it. In 1952, the faculties and departments of colleges and universities were adjusted, and the collection of Aurora University was included in the library of Fudan University.
