Zhuangzi's remarks completely negated the thick burial behavior of Yin House Feng Shui. It can be seen that the Taoists initially also scorned feng shui, believing that people die like lights out, which is a natural law, and no matter how they are buried, they are just the psychological comfort of the living.
If it is said that the founding masters of Confucianism and Taoism are still primitive and naïve to Yin House Feng Shui, then with the progress of the times, the various schools of thought have been continuously excavated and perfected, and the criticism of Feng Shui and public opinion has become more systematic and theoretical, forming a complete system.
If nothing else, take Zhang Juzheng of the Ming Dynasty, as a famous politician, Zhang Juzheng wu shuangquan, vigorously reformed social abuses, was extremely disgusted by the "feng shui kan public opinion" that prevailed in society at that time, and specially wrote an article called "The Theory of Burial Ground", which gave a merciless criticism of the popular feng shui theory at that time.
Zhang Juzheng's "Theory of Burial Places" clearly opposes the shading of remains in feng shui. Drawing on the remarks of many famous people in history, in the form of examples, it shows that the prosperity of future generations is not related to the emphasis on feng shui in tombs.
Zhang Juzheng said that after the ancient people died, they did not talk about the art of tombs at all, but threw the corpses into the ditch. For example, the ancient sages Huangdi, Yao, and King Wen of Zhou also did not pay attention to feng shui, and also created a brilliant dynasty, which continued the kingdom for hundreds of years. And the nomadic people in the north and the Wuyue people in the south, the descendants are fierce and brave, occupying one side for thousands of years without decay, even if the Western countries thousands of miles away practice cremation, they have not seen their countries decline and decadence, so it can be seen that feng shui can not affect their descendants at all.
In response to the popular feng shui kan public opinion book "Burial Classic" at that time, Zhang Juzheng also proved that the feng shui master himself could not save himself and bless the noble family through the fact that Guo Pu (the author of the "Burial Classic") was killed by Wang Dun, and the examples of the masters who were good at feng shui in the past generations had not produced the descendants of the eminent nobility, which was enough to prove that the feng shui view of the body being shaded was false.
In response to the Feng Shui of Yang House, Zhang Juzheng also quoted the views of the Han Dynasty literary scholar Wang Chong as circumstantial evidence, and put forward a rebuttal to the so-called west of the gate.
"The four sides of the mansion are also the same, the three sides are not called fierce, and the Yixi side is ominous, why not?" Why does Xiyi House hurt the earth body, and why does it harm the house god? ... And if the gods of the house are disturbed by evil, they will be 'beneficial to the house on all sides, and they should be ominous.' ”
Wang Chong believes that the house is surrounded by land, so why is it only necessary to expand in the west? If there is a fierceness in the west, then there will be a fierceness on all four sides.
Through Wang Chong's conclusion, Zhang Juzheng further concluded that the reason why people will popularize yin house and yang house feng shui is entirely the etiquette at work, believing that the West is respected, and the face is the direction of the elderly, so if you build a house here, it is contrary to etiquette, and over time it becomes a "feng shui" taboo.
In order to further illustrate, feng shui is a fictitious one, and Zhang Ju is talking about Sima Guang (the one who smashed the cylinder when he was a child) of the Song Dynasty.
Sima Guang's ancestors, due to their family's poverty, although they were buried in coffins, did not have any gold and silver or other burial items. The clan believes that the deceased is a big thing and should ask Mr. Yin and Yang. Sima Guang's brother Sima Dan did not believe it at all, but he could not do anything about the people's statement, so he came up with a clever plan to intimidate Zhang Sheng, the "Mr. Feng Shui" invited by the clan, to ostensibly follow the principle of the "Book of Burial" to be buried, but in fact asked Zhang Sheng to secretly listen to his own arrangements.
Under the coercion of Sima Dan, Zhang Sheng pretended to perform a play and concealed all the clansmen of the Sima family. In fact, this arbitrary practice of not following the "Book of Burial" did not cause the family to decay. On the contrary, Sima Dan eventually became the Taizhong Doctor and lived to the age of eighty-two, while Sima Guang was also ranked as the Left Attendant of Shangshu, living to the age of sixty-seven and becoming a famous politician. There are twenty-three people in the family who are officials in the middle of the court, which can be said to be the prosperity of the family and the prosperity of the people.
