Confucius said, "Ever since the first time I sprinkled wine on the ground to séance the gods, I didn't want to see it. ”

  ■ Zhang Ju is honest and straightforward

禘 is the name of the sacrifice. The ancient Son of Heaven not only sacrificed his ancestors, but also promoted the emperor of the ancestors to be sacrificed to the Taimiao Temple, and the ancestors were matched, and this ceremony was called 禘 for five years. King Cheng, with the Duke of Zhou having a great honor, gave Lu a heavy sacrifice, so that the State of Lu took the Duke of Zhou as the ancestor, king Wen as the emperor of his own birth, and the Duke of Zhou as his match, so the State of Lu had to sacrifice his ancestors. However, it is indecent to usurp the sacrifice of the Son of Heaven as a prince. Irrigation is to lay wine on the ground to séance. To the word, interpreted as the last word. Confucius said, "I, the ruler of the state of Lu, held a sacrifice, and I also used to be in the Taimiao Temple, and I watched how his rituals were, but before he surrendered to the gods, his sincere respect was still there, and it was still impressive." After the séance of the gods, the kings and courtiers were slack, although there were furniture beans, and the prestige of the lifting and descending, they were all fictitious, and there was no sense of respect and sincerity. At this time, my heart does not want to see. "The kingdom of Furu was originally a prince, and it was already disrespectful to usurp the great sacrifice of the king, and when the sacrifice was made, it was disrespectful, and it was disrespectful and disrespectful. So Confucius sighed.

"禘" is an ancient sacrifice ceremony, symbolizing the religious spirit and the ritual of worshipping the ancestors of heaven and earth. In ancient times, the state held a festival, and the ceremony was quite solemn. However, at that time, the morality of the Lu state was degraded, and the treatment of the yu sacrifice was quite lax, just a formality. Everything should be done with sincerity, not just perfunctory response. The formal ornamentation must have the support of inner piety, that is, all forms must match the sincerity of the heart. If the heart is not religious, even if the superficial effort is done in place, it is meaningless.

禘" is the name of the sacrifice, the ancient Tianzi not only sacrificed its ancestors, but also pushed the earliest bloodline ancestors of its ancestors, sacrificed in the Taimiao Temple, every five years a major sacrifice, called 禘.

Only the Son of Heaven is qualified to perform the sacrifice, and the princes are not qualified. King Cheng of Zhou, because of the great merits of the Duke of Zhou, gave him the opportunity to perform a sacrifice. This is a unique honor for the Country of Lu. But in Confucius's view, "indecent also" is arrogant and disrespectful, the Zhou Gong has a special status, he sacrificed it, and future generations should consciously stop. But they themselves were obviously not worthy, but they still performed the sacrifice with pride, so Confucius said, "I don't want to look at it" - I don't want to see it!

Confucius did not want to see. But Lu Jun performed the sacrifice and disrespected the Son of Heaven. If he didn't go and was disrespectful to Lu Jun, it would become the square of disrespect, so he still went, saw it, and watched the ceremony.

"Those who are infused with self-cultivation, I do not want to see it." "Pouring" is the first time to drink wine, and the wine is poured on the ground to séance. "Towards", is after. Confucius said, "After the first offering of wine, I didn't want to see it." ”

Zhang Juzheng explained that Confucius went to watch the ceremony, and before the first offering of wine, everyone was still sincerely respecting, and the spiritual head was still there. After the first offering of wine, the monarchs and courtiers of the State of Lu were slack, and the ritual procedures were all fictional, without solemnity and sincere respect, so Confucius could not see it more and more.

This is the same as the previous article, saying that the basis of etiquette is to respect first and then to be polite. If the lu monarch really had respect in his heart, he should respect the Son of Heaven, because that was the spiritual essence of their ancestor Zhou Gong. When the Duke of Zhou was young and weak, the regent was in his hands, and he was the actual ruler of the Zhou Dynasty, who suppressed the rebellion against Anbang, retired after his achievements, never had the heart of trespassing, and always kept his duties as a courtier. Duke Zhou was the son of King Wen, the younger brother of King Wu, and the uncle of King Cheng, who started a business with King Wen and King Wu, and was a member of the Zhou Dynasty and an important founder of the state, and King Cheng gave him a gift, which was also a love and righteousness, allowing him to have a closer relationship with King Wen and King Wu.

Future generations, if they understand this feeling and understand the Duke of Zhou, they should honor the Son of Heaven and return the courtesy, rather than vanity and arrogance.

Moreover, because there is no real understanding in the heart, there is no feeling of respect, the etiquette is also a fictitious text, and confucius does not understand the meaning behind each ritual, Confucius can see it clearly, naturally cannot look at it, and cannot say it.
