The mysterious death of Yang Guifei, the truth may be like this

Yang Yuhuan, one of the four beauties of ancient China, has the reputation of "shy flowers".

The death of Yang Guifei is one of the most famous unsolved cases in history. The main history, the wild history, the literati inkers, folklore, and various different sayings make the "death of the noble concubine" extremely mysterious.

The mysterious death of Yang Guifei, the truth may be like this

The historical background of the death of the noble concubine should not be much disagreeable:

The Anshi Rebellion broke out, the rebels invaded Chang'an, and Tang Xuanzong Li Longji took his concubines and bodyguards, and fled from Shuzhong overnight. On the way to Ma Songpo, the forbidden general Chen Xuanli led an army to mutiny, demanding that the prime ministers Yang Guozhong and Yang Guifei be executed.

As for the death of Yang Guifei, there are roughly the following different theories.

Under the pear tree of the Buddhist hall, Gao Lishi strangled Yang Guifei with a white aya.

Yang Guifei hanged herself with a white aya.

Yang Guifei committed suicide by swallowing gold powder.

Yang Guifei died tragically on the spot under the saber.

Yang Guifei did not die, it was the maid who died, and there is even a saying that Yang Guifei fled to Japan.

For the above several statements, the first thing that should be excluded is 5.

It can be seen that this is the most bizarre, tortuous, complex one, and therefore the most unlikely. At that time, the Forbidden Legion was besieged, the crowd was indignant, and death was inevitable. Moreover, no matter how Yang Guifei was executed, it was impossible for the soldiers not to verify their true bodies.

The second thing to rule out is that the claim of suicide by swallowing gold lacks basis. Tang Xuanzong and his party did not know how likely it was to flee in a hurry overnight, carrying gold powder to escape. The key to this claim comes only from a poet and lacks other credible records.

There is not much difference between the claims of 1 and 2, nor is there much detailed documentation and evidence. Anyway, Tang Xuanzong was forced by the situation, and in order to protect himself, he could only promise the soldiers to kill Yang Guifei.

Combined with historical records and historical background, 1 or 2 seems to be a more reasonable statement of Yang Guifei's death.

Curiously, it is the fourth statement. Du Fu, Du Mu, Li Yi, Wen Tingjun and other poets have all hinted in their poems that Yang Guifei died tragically under the sword of the forbidden army, and died a tragic death.

In short, the theory of hanging death is relatively reasonable, and it is also recorded in the history books; but the statement that he died tragically with a knife also has a certain truth.

We can see what happened to Yang Guozhong, who was Yang Guifei's brother, who relied on Yang Guifei to ascend to the throne, and who also relied on Yang Guifei to do evil.

At that time, the soldiers were full of anger and demanded that the curse of the imperial court be executed - Yang Guozhong, the chancellor. Yang Guozhong reacted quickly, and when he saw that the situation was not good, he hurriedly fled to the west gate of Ma Songyi. The sergeants rushed up and slashed Yang Guozhong on the spot. The sergeants shouted, grabbed his head with guns, and hung him outside the door of Ma Songyi.

It can be seen how indignant the soldiers are! How much hatred for Yang Guozhong!

What about Yang Guifei? Taking Yang Guozhong as a mirror, how will the sergeants treat her?

Perhaps in the face of the exiled Tang Xuanzong, the sergeant would let Yang Guifei die with dignity, so the idea of hanging her death is possible. However, the situation is already out of control, and who knows whether Yang Guifei will die as tragically as Yang Guozhong?

But the development of things later seems to deny this possibility.

After the Anshi Rebellion, Emperor Xuanzong of Tang sent someone to relocate and bury Yang Guifei. The Old Book of Tang records that "the skin is broken, and the sachet is still there", and the New Book of Tang only says that "the sachet is still there", anyway, it only brought back Yang Guifei's sachet, no bones.

According to this statement, yang guifei's death method is really different from Yang Guozhong's. Yang Guifei was definitely dead, and should not have been hacked to death by a knife on the spot.

Hanged himself, or hanged by Colliers, then why did he not have any bones?

It can be imagined who the origin of the "Anshi Rebellion" is, there are Yang Guozhong, Yang Guifei, and of course, the most responsible is Tang Xuanzong.

The anger of the mutinous soldiers could only be fully focused on Yang Guozhong and Yang Yuhuan. Even if Yang Guifei hanged herself or was hanged by Gao Lishi, in the chaotic and chaotic fleeing environment at that time, it was impossible to expect the extremely angry forbidden army to calmly bury Yang Guifei!

Perhaps, the truth is more brutal than imagined:

Yang Yuhuan was executed, but the anger of the soldiers was not extinguished! And anger always needs to find an outlet. And this may be the truth that Yang Guifei's bones do not exist.
