The musical "Tina Turner", which is being staged at the Lente Fontani Theatre, will replace Tony Award winner Adrian Warren as the new Tina Turner.
Before the outbreak, Obi Melekwe played Tina in the West End version of Tina Turner and welcomed her first Broadway show last month. Prior to this musical, she starred in Alice's Adventures off Broadway.
The original Broadway also included Tony's nominated actor Daniel Watts' Ike, Dawn Lewis's Selma, Myra Lucretia Taylor's Gran Georgina, and Jessica Rush's Rhonda.
As Obi-Merleque moves from a substitute to full-time Tina, Kayla David will be the new replacement for the role.
